Thank you for doing a great job with data recovery software, and for a human support service!! In summary, I tried Disk Drill for the first time when an SSD from my work laptop died, and it appears that I did not do any backups for dozens of crucial files I stored in that. It was a Thursday evening, I got to be at work the next morning, all data recovery centers near me were closed, and I was at risk of a panic attack. First, I connected it to my home computer and tried some free tools to retrieve files from it, but it seemed they didn't have a preview for data at all, and I needed specific documents — recovering all of them would take too much time. Then I found about Disk Drill on Lifewire and gave it a try, but there were no file names!! I contacted the support team. BTW, they have only email and online form support, no phone calls, though I heard from them pretty fast. They explained to me that the drive was apparently wiped (which it was, as I found out later), so some information on data isn't recoverable. As long as I needed just some specific documents, they suggest me to use the preview feature to find and pick the ones I need. Everything else was flawless. I just started the recovery process, which took about an hour and got the files back on my home computer, all of them fully functioning!!! Now I use Disk Drill for its feature that backs file names up in case they would be wiped just like that and doing full backups once per month.. great tool
Purchased Enterprise version. Not of this class. Simplified UI masks diagnostic or recovery information. Slow technical support. Company does not answer phone. Avoid.
