Aguilar Construction did an absolutely beautiful job on the home addition and kitchen renovation to our 100 + year old brick midtown home. The exterior brick and trim work was seamless, you really can’t tell where the original house ends and the addition begins! The interiors match the existing trim and molding seamlessly too. Our new kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and bedrooms are all lovely and Sam and Luis patiently answered all my many queries and took care of all my changes, even little things like adding ledges for my cat to sit on on the porch. The crew was great too, really nice guys who were quiet whenever possible and respectful of our privacy while working in the house. They did little things that went above and beyond, like changing dead light bulbs for us when they painted the ceiling in my husband’s office just because it was a nice thing to do. We kinda miss them being here every day!! Even the landscaping knocked it out of the park and finished the house beautifully. I cannot recommend them highly enough—especially for renovations and additions to historic midtown homes.

We are extremely pleased with the work Sam Aguilar and his team performed on our detached garage in the Vollintine-Evergreen neighborhood. We had reached out to several contractors, and Aguilar was by the far the most professional, thorough and timely when coming back with our detailed estimates. We initially thought we would be able to save some of the original structure, but as the team stripped away the siding and rotting wood, we quickly realized we needed to start over, including laying a new concrete foundation. Aguilar was able to quickly pivot, and within a week a new structure was going up. The other things we were impressed by were the detail put into each element of the construction as well as the safety and cleanliness of our property during the course of the project. As well, the accounting team was very easy to work with, using electronic invoices easily paid through a banking portal, and being flexible with payment amounts and dates. What's more, the team was able to finish 1-2 weeks earlier than estimated, and they had time to add a fence, sod, and place the electrical wires underground. We even added new gutters to our home when we saw the great price and work their gutter contractor did for the garage. We are truly very pleased with the work of Aguilar Construction and will likely use them again for our future needs.

If I could give Aguilar Construction 10 stars I would! They just completed an addition for us that was ~800 sq feet. We added a primary suite, mudroom, laundry room, and a large patio area. Sam and all of his crew were extremely punctual, knowledgeable, and were just a phone call away if we had any questions. They were also very respectful of our property and our neighbors’ space. Every single person that came out was kind and did an excellent job. Sam was also at the house daily to check on everything and we always appreciated the face-to-face communications and updates. We did add a few things to the project along the way and they always found a way to get it done. No detail was missed and the end result is absolutely beautiful. I honestly can’t believe this is our house! I will recommend Sam and his company to everyone we know!

What began as a chance meeting became a true blessing and I truly believe Aguilar Construction was God-sent to our family. We spent several moths desperately searching for a responsive and caring construction company. It’s hard to find in Shelby and Fayette county! We hired Aguilar to build a first-floor master suite for my elderly parents, so they could age with family. Sadly, my father passed away, but was able to see the construction start and left this earth knowing my mother has the comfort of being surrounded by family looking after her. Throughout the project, Aguilar Construction was respectful of our home and personal space. Sam oversaw every step with care and attention to detail. He and his team take pride in their work and craftsmanship. By the end of construction, they felt less like contractors and more like family. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, professionalism, trustworthiness, and most of all, exceptional work.
