*** Update. The office got back to me and we were able to sort it out. Thank you for taking the time to help me on this issue. The preparing and filing taxes were smooth. It’s what happened afterwards that disappointed me. I RARELY leave less than 5 star reviews and the experience in the beginning was fine. However, I received letters from NC dept. of revenue that I owed taxes back in October. I want to give a shout out to Ginger who was super helpful and communicating every single day during that experience. The problem wasn’t solved and I received another letter from NC revenue last month. I emailed several times. No response. So I called the office after a few days of trying to reach them. Lester talked to me about getting it straightened out and that we would solve it. Another week passes by and no phone call or email for an update. I’m giving a 3 star review because they were helpful in filing my taxes. But after that, it’s quite a challenge getting in contact with them, especially if you are a worried customer that is getting letters that you owe almost $2000 in state taxes. I’m not sure where Ginger went but I really appreciated her correspondence. I know it’s busy for every tax preparer for end of year and the upcoming tax year. I have compassion for this, but having this stress & anxiety of possibly owing $2000 taxes and little to no response from them is not something I want to experience again. *** As a note, called the NC dept. revenue myself and they stated that the tax preparer just needs to amend my state return to get that fixed. It’s an easy fix to electronically file the amended return and yet no update from ATG.
