Steve was extremely helpful in assisting me with my legal case. He answered my initial phone call and listened to the details of my case and then discussed possible options for me...all on Christmas Eve. Steve was very reachable, responding to phone calls and emails within a few hours. He is clearly a knowledgeable attorney, but he went above and beyond as he appreciated the impact my case had on my daily life. I was a victim of a very cheap, negligent and fraudulent insurance company that would not cover my claim (American freedom Insurance/ great Northern InsuranceAgency). I was not able to find any attorney willing to take my case on as there were no personal injuries. I purchased a new vehicle and before I can make my first payment someone ran the light and hit my car resulting in total damage. I had to do much of my own leg work and at one point I was trying to hire my own adjustor. I was referred to Steve McCann thinking he was a private adjustor. He called me in a timely manner and was one of the only attorneys willing to take my case with no personal injury as all the other attorneys (5 of them maybe more) would not take my case, gave me the run around and were completely asking for a ridiculous upfront fee. Steve was very polite, understanding, responsive, fair and did his absolute best. He never hesitated to take my case although he was not making a great deal of money on it. I really am thankful and appreciative for him and people like him. I was even told I should file bankruptcy for 23k loan of the vehicle from one of the attorney's. Steve got my insurance company to cover the claim and I was not charged an arm and a leg from his firm. It was a blessing to stumble upon him and I will forever be grateful from the ease of stress and additional expenses he has alleviated from me. He was very professional, knowledgeable and just so nice. He definitely is someone to count on and you can really trust to put his best foot forward and just have your best interest at heart. have had the pleasure of working with Ball & McCann law firm. Steve particularly is an excellent lawyer and has a great deal of experience . He is very knowledgeable and has a great deal of experience in dealing with the courts. He is always very prepared and has a great deal of patience. He is also very responsive to his clients and is always available to answer any questions that they may have even late evenings ( which was best for communicating for me).I would highly recommend Ball & McCann to anyone who is in need of a GO GETTER type of laywer. If I can score a -5star I would because Drew Ball and his partner took 4,000 from me and did not do squat. I gave them videos, text, emails, utilities bills and he told me he can get back over 40,000 due to my formal landlord not giving me deposit. Plus stealing my electric and gas. I never saw a penny in over 2 years. It was like pulling teeth to get some type of communication about what is happening. He was really nice and accommodating before I gave him the money. After I gave him an additional 2500 for court fees which he never went to at all. The first amount was 1500 and then he ask for 2500 totalling 4000. No communication and no portal that worked so I can see what was going on with my case. I was no longer a client, I was a victim of Drew Ball stealing my money. I would suggest to think twice before you give them any money. This should have been open and shut case. The evidence of fraud was overflowing. He had to do no leg work just take them to court. Never went to court because he was not able to give the notice to them. They live in portage Park in a two flat they own. Come on, I made a complaint with the BBB but unfortunately it was too old. They said I had a case to go to the district attorney office. I went there twice and now Drew Ball is saying he is retiring so my case was close again. Please look for good people to help you because Drew Ball is a thief and his company. Preying on people who have nothing because they know I don't have the funds to go after my money. Sadly, my case is close and I lost my deposit and my 4000 totalling 5250.00. I hope this guy loses his license before he is be able to win because obviously he couldn't even get my case to court with all the evidence I gave him. Unbelievable!!! All I wanted was my money back and all I received was a lesson learned. Never trust Drew Ball and his partner with your money. Especially this guy Drew Ball.
