Brooks LTD

I have purchased from Brooks for over twenty-five years. Her clothes are creative, fun, stylish, and comfortable. Mostly I buy casual wear - tops, jackets, dresses etc., but I also have had Brooks design my wedding dress and I still love it! She is a personable, custom-oriented designer and her atelier is wonderful. I love being there.

My one and only son was getting married this past May. I needed to find a “Mother of the groom” dress that color wise fit in with the rest of the bridal party. Thank goodness it could be any style that i wanted. I cruised through every website I could think of for formal gowns. Nothing I saw was the style that I thought represented me, or the stage of life that I am in. At seventy one I didn’t think I wanted to jump into a slip dress. I contacted Brooks who has been designing and making wonderful gowns for years. This is an art form for Brooks, and that is exactly the attitude I was looking for. We met up and talked about what I thought I wanted and Brooks listened. Then came drawings and visits to her studio. I never knew this process could be so much fun. What happened was sheer joy and “my statement” for this event. There were so many compliments. I felt so lucky to have had the opportunity to experience and part take in this art form and expression of myself.

Brooks designed a mother-of-the-groom dress in 2016 for me. The entire experience, from concept discussion to initial design sketches to material choice to final dress, was a joy to experience. Brooks listened to my ideas of the perfect dress and internalized those ideas into the final design. The dress fits my body, flatters my coloring, and makes me feel comfortable and beautiful. What more could I ask for?

Brooks designed and created my custom wedding dress! It was such a fun process, she listened to what I initially wanted, and added her expertise and creativity - it all resulted in a one-of-a-kind dress that was vintage-inspired, beautifully crafted, and the fabrics & design were perfect for the occasion - AND it fit like a glove! Brooks included my best friend and I on the process, we met her at the fabric store, and in her fabulous studio multiple times. She also created a custom headpiece with a birdcage veil and a fun belt for the dress. All in all, this was such a great experience - for me, it was 200% better than spending months at bridal shops, never really finding what I wanted. Thank you!

I was honored to be chosen to model a dress custom designed by Brooks for a charity fund raising fashion show. Brooks took a great deal of time to design a beautiful, flattering, unique and fun dress for me to wear in this special event. In our first session she had me try on a variety of sample garments to find the right style for my shape. She also draped me with several different fabric swatches in order to find the best colors for my complexion. And of course she took meticulous measurements for her to cut the dress pieces properly. In our second session I wore the basic dress and Brooks got creative with the finishing touches. She figured out the sleeve style, dress length and neckline that would bring it all together as she envisioned. In our final session Brooks had me bring my shoes for the outfit so she could perfect the ensemble, including accessories and hair and makeup recommendations. Brooks has an eye for beautiful design, is very detailed and meticulous in her work and has a passion for creating individual works of art. She is also a warm and delightful human being.

Brooks created a Mother of the Bride dress for me and I really enjoyed the experience. The dress was perfect for the occasion. It fit both my personality and figure type very well. The dress made me feel beautiful and special all night! The fabrics and workmanship were exceptional and I love knowing that it is my dress, and mine alone. Brooks is so talented!

I just finished meeting with Brooks to create two dresses for me as I prepare for my wedding day! I showed Brooks a picture of what I envisioned for my rehearsal dinner dress for which she didn't have the fabric, but took great care in sending me pictures of the fabric that she would pick to create my dress. Not only was the fabric exactly what i wanted, but I was really impressed with the time that she took to find exactly what I wanted and consulted me first. The other dress is for a shower that I am having and wanted to look really nice for. Brooks was wonderful in listening to exactly what I wanted and created a beautiful sketch that helped me to really envision the end product. Working with Brooks has been an amazing experience. I have never had a custom piece of clothing made for me before and I was worried that it would be an intimidating process. Brooks really made me feel at ease, and wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with the process. I will for sure go back and have Brooks make many more items for me and I will be recommending her to many that are looking for that perfect dress!

I met Brooks through her work with Sue Miller Day of Caring Fashion Show fundraiser in early 2017. I was chosen as a model for the event and was flattered to also be selected to wear a dress designed by Brooks. The fitting process was a new experience for me and Brooks put me at ease as she took time to get to know me before suggesting one of her designs. She worked her magic and the dress was a perfect fit! The color, style and fabric reflected my personality while complimenting my features. Brooks was a delight to work with and I would recommend her highly.

Brooks LTD has been designing and creating for me for about five years. She made my mother-of-the bride dress in brocade for my daughter's wedding and she created a modern two piece suit for me for a high end event that I attended this year. Both pieces were exquisite and brought many admiring compliments. Most importantly, I felt great in both ensembles. Brooks is a dream to collaborate with. She develops instant rapport and was empathetic and attentive when I described the looks that I wanted. She uses the finest fabrics and the outcomes were exactly what I had desired. I highly recommend Brooks if you're looking for an experienced and talented designer and want to feel special for an important event. I'm looking forward to working with her again soon! I'm hosting a huge party at my home, and I want to feel confident and radiant when greeting my guests!

I had the enormous pleasure of having Brooks design and create my mother-of-the-groom dress for both my sons. After my oldest son's wedding 5 years ago, I had no doubt that I'd return to Brooks for my younger son's wedding. Although I'm now living in Michigan, the few trips back to Colorado were well worth it. The process began with a thought that I had for a gown. Next, Brooks added her creative ideas to flatter my figure. We decided on a fabric and she created a basic design of the dress. I returned to Denver for fittings and slight changes in the design as needed. Brooks was able to capture the exact look I wanted for a formal, black tie wedding that was held outdoors in beautiful Michigan. At the event, I felt fabulous knowing that my dress was unique and was not to be seen on any of the 300 guests, not to mention the number of compliments I received. Having a dress designed 'just for you' is every woman's dream. Brooks is amazing.
