My story started when I went to Wilmington, N C to attend a wedding for my niece. We were giving a bridal luncheon the day of the wedding at a local restaurant which was booked in advance. I got up to take a present to the bride and stepped in a hole on the floor where a beam was supposed to be. A guy with a boot who was our waiter had fell in the same hole and broke the same bones in his foot as I did the week before. I went to a Walk in the Clinic in Wilmington, who transferred me to my hometown Orthopedic doctor, and after 6 weeks I had to follow up doctor at Durham, NC., due to circumstances beyond my control. I contacted the restaurant who told me I would have to go through their insurance adjuster. After numerous attempts to get information and trying to clear this up between contacting both the restaurant and insurance adjuster, and calling the corporate office and leaving messages for someone to call me back. I started reaching out to numerous la to help me. I was told by one that my case wasn’t big enough for them. Finally one lawyers office from my hometown told me about Chumley Roberts Law Firm. I knew from the start I had hit a home run after I had talked to their secretary, Melissa. She took my information, understood my needs, and calmed me down when I was upset from dealing with the restaurant and insurance company. I could not have gotten through this without her. My lawyer, Quinton, always took my calls and kept me informed of the steps he was taking to dissolve my case. I’ve never had a lawyer before but I am so grateful I found him and his firm. Y’all, I don’t even know if I can recommend Jimmy and Kristen enough. They made the entire process from start to finish easy and made sure I understood everything happening. Even when there was no news, Kristen would text just to check in, and Jimmy gave me a few phone calls to see how I was doing. No surprises, and easily two of the most professional, down to earth people you could ask to work with.

The paralegals and office staff at CR are lovely, always responsive and helpful - they make the firm. I think it would behoove the lawyers to be slightly more transparent on initial consultation of what the end goal or a realistic settlement could potentially be as well as legal barriers one could face, and educate the customer on some of the laws that may potentially affect their case, and also their fees. I'm an air traffic controller, not a lawyer and other then fostering/adopting haven't dealt with the legal system so I didn't ask those initial questions and should have. Just something for future customers to think about. The online portal is great for record retention and seeing where you are in your case, it's user friendly so even an elderly person could use it. I chose CR because I wanted to hand over my problem and walk away without swimming through paperwork and struggling my way through a legal process; they did that, so thumbs up.

Very caring, compassionate and professional law firm. Very precise about phone calls and return phone calls if your Lawyer is with another client they have partners that also work closely with assisting you.. After a terrifying accident that left me dealing with months of medical appointments, it was so relieving to not also be dealing with the back and forth between insurance companies. They handled everything and communicated regularly. Worth every penny paid to the lawyer to not only handle it but also make sure I maximized what I needed to deal with the medical issues.
