I’ve been one of Mr. Mackey’s clients for years. He has done all types of alterations for me including completely redesigning some of my clothes. He has always done an excellent job, and I’ve been completely satisfied.
Ed Mackey has been my master tailor for over 25 years. He makes sure that my wardrobe accentuates my curves. I am confident when I step out in whatever I am wearing. Based on the reviews I decided to come to Mr. Mackey's for a jumpsuit pant leg heam that I am wearing for a wedding. I dropped off my jumpsuit on Tuesday and he had it ready in the same week on Friday. I am impressed. Usually other sewing businesses would turn me away due to a specific season (wedding and prom), or tell me 2-3 weeks, but he had it ready in less than a week. I'm definitely coming back!
Very bad experience! If you want quality work done in a timely manner. I urge you to find a professional. I paid over 600 bucks in various alterations and I literally have to take all of my items somewhere else to be repaired. I took my clothes to Drake cleaners on Evergreen and they did a perfect job the only good thing I can say about Mackey is that he did not mess up most of my close to the point that they could not be fixed but I did have to throw away some things!! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Ed is awesome! Very passionate about his work and extremely knowledgeable! He's reasonably priced, I will definitely recommend him. I used him for alterations on a formal gown and he added a zipper to a dress. He did a great job!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’ve been going to Ed Mackey, My Master Tailor, for over 15 years, and he’s the best. Ed truly knows his craft and the quality is always top‑notch. He’s a very busy guy, which says a lot, and he’s highly respected in the garment industry for good reason. I wouldn’t trust my clothes to anyone else.
I have used this Master Tailor before and he never disappoints! My son is a High school senior and I took his favorite blazer from 8th grade 🥰 and he added a second button and let the seam out and can I tell you, the jacket looks like it was tailored made for his physique! Awesome Tailor which I would recommend highly!
He does good work, if he ever gets it completed. I dropped off 3 suites and 2 blazers and went back 3 times and they were never completed. He kept giving me the run around and I even came back when he told me too. I ended up taking my clothes and leaving. I hate to say this, but we try and support minority owned businesses, only to be treated this way. Unacceptable sir

Browsed online and found Mr. Mackey who was only 3 miles down the street from my house. Was looking to get 2 cargo work pants tailored to perfectly fit my legs and in a timely manner. Took my 2 pants in on Thursday May the 7th and paid only 10 extra to have pants done in one day. I wouldn't know if pants were actually done by the next day because I couldn't pick them up due to my work schedule. Mr Mackeys business was closed that weekend as well as that f following Monday. My pants were picked up by yesterday on May 12th and found that they were exactly what i was looking for. I will return for additional tailoring this week on a couple of new work pants. I highly recommend this tailor. Great service, professional, courteous, reasonable pricing, and reliable.
