Where do I begin? Waited almost two years to move into a brand new home we contracted Glendarroch to build. Not only had the project been left abandoned for four months halfway through, but we learned that none of our orders (e.g., doors, stairs, etc.) had been placed, our building permits had long since expired, custom cabinetry plans (in the fourth and final revision) lost. When we brought our growing concerns to management my husband was cursed at and we were thrown an entirely new GC to take over the process. We're now six months into living here and can't get Glendarroch to return our calls let alone finish the agreed upon punch list. Instead, we've been left in a home covered in blue tape, walls painted a single coat of the wrong color, nails coming out of doors, unfinished cabinets, missing siding, uncaulked tile and now a third GC not even affiliated with the company left to pick up the pieces. Calls to the company's owner are now being screened and disregarded. This weekend, as the owner hikes happily with his children on their family vacation feigning insufficient cell service so as to continue said inaccessiblity, I can only hope he thinks of us and our own kids (all three under the age of three), eating off of paper plates atop construction dust and boxes that can't yet be unpacked and question: have I really done my best?

These guys were amazing! They helped us from design all the way through the construction of our home. Very responsive, professional and super easy to work with. If we ever build another home we wouldn't bother to consider anyone else. Highly recommend Glendarroch for a quality home and an amazing experiance.

Every step of our custom home design and build was professional and the Glendarroch team was easy to work with. They understood our needs and wants and transformed them into our beautiful home. Our project manager, Wes was extremely responsive and great to work with. Definitely recommend Glendarroch.

For month’s Glendarroch Homes subcontractors repeatedly blocked our driveway preventing us from leaving our home; left trash all over our property; and repeatedly drove over our landscaping and increasingly crushed our underground irrigation and hedge. We contacted the Glendarroch contractor begging him to control his subs, stop destroying our property and repair the damage. . He ignored our pleas for months until finally agreeing to have his landscaper replace one hedge when the house they were building was landscaped. When this did not happen, we asked him to reimburse us for the damage. We had to repeatedly make repairs due to the runoff and destruction their damage caused plus replacing the destroyed ground cover. The Glendarroch landscaper had never replaced our destroyed landscape so we had to contact the contractor and owner once again. The contractor angrily accused us of waiting 7 months despite his knowing he disrespectfully failed to stop or repair all the damage he claimed he would have the landscaper fix. He claimed he was not responsible for the damage done by his subcontractors. Then the owner Tom Bates called to fight with us about all that occurred. We were financially harmed by Glendarrach Homes. We told them timely and repeatedly how we were harmed. They continually disrespected us and refused to fix the damage done by their subs. All we asked for was $75 to repair the irrigation damage; $35 for a portion of the ground cover repair; and an installed replacement hedge ..instead ,while building the house behind ours …Tom Bates, his contractor and subcontractors unprofessionally disrespected us; damaged our property; repeatedly harassed us; trashed our yard and blocked our driveway making it impossible for us to leave timely or enjoy our home. Think of your future neighbors before doing business with an organization that treats others horridly. .

Tim and Tom Bates built our home 10+ years ago. We have built homes with previous builders and while we did our homework and not disappointed with any of them, Glendarroch exceeded our expectations in every way. From drawing the first plan to today, the construction is solid and if there is a problem, and we aware out of warranty, Glendarroch is available to help and solve the issue. Outstanding builder and better people.

We worked with Glendarroch to design and build our roughly 8000 square-foot house in the Viridian subdivision in Arlington. The project manager and ownership were exceptionally supportive and professional. Our design was complicated, and it presented substantial construction issues. Wes Manning and Tom Bates addressed every issue and saw to it that we ended up with an absolutely beautiful place to live. Tim Bates was a delight to work with during the design process and with the administration of the project. This company demonstrated high integrity throughout our dealings with them. We have built five new houses, all with good builders, but this experience with Glendarroch was outstanding.

I have known and worked with Tom and Tim Bates and all of the great folks at Glendarroch Homes for over three years now. We had a little remodel to a home they originally built ten years ago that turned into a major almost full "do-over" for the home courtesy of the Winter Storm of 2021 and the resulting water leak and damage we had later that summer. For 15 months we worked side by side with Glendarroch, making a lot of decisions on the fly, to finish work to update a beautiful home they built with updates and contemporary technology and finishes. We would highly recommend them to anyone considering a new home or a major remodel to an existing home - and it probably doesn't have to be one that they originally built. They are an awesome company with great people, fantastic connections and they do what they say when they say. Tom specifically has gone the extra mile in making sure things turned out the way we wanted and even helping when disaster struck. He is a true friend! We can't wait to do our next project with them.

We worked with Glendarroch on a 2019 home build. Definitely one of the top custom builders in Fort Worth. Tim was great working through the budgeting and architecture phase (Dale Grandmaison @ Grand Home Designs is a genius) and then we had a smooth transition to Tom's construction team (Steven Van Eman is as good as it gets for residential construction). Overall, we came in on budget and on time - any hiccups due to timber market, labor, etc were communicated quickly and with solution options. Subs kept our site clean and were long-tenured with Glendarroch. I have no doubt our home would be an easy resale near top-of-market based on design and build quality. 5 star outfit.

Glendarroch took over a complete remodel that another GC started but couldn't manage. The house was down to the studs but the project manager Wes jumped right in and handled it masterfully. Lots of communication and put up with me and my pregnant wife constantly hounding him. Brothers Tim and Tom answered every time I called with questions. They took the vision from our minds and turned it into our dream home. Would absolutely do it again if we didn't love our house so much now.

We had a great experience working with the Glendarroch team for the addition of our master suite. They were enjoyable, professional, forthcoming with all costs, and they did a great job. We highly-recommend Glendarroch for their quality work and quality team!
