Huseby transcribed a trial transcript in a case on appeal. I cannot imagine that a human being performed the transcription. It was riddled with over 100 errors, and those were just the ones we thought were relevant to the issues on appeal. Very simple errors, such as a witness answer "no" being transcribed as "yes". My paralegal spent over 80 hours listening to the entire trial audio recordings because we had such little confidence that the transcription was correct. After we submitted the proposed corrections, the revised transcript was even worse - with lines missing from the tops and bottoms of several pages. Worse, several of the proposed corrections had not been made. I personally spent 40 hours reviewing the transcripts and listening to portions of the audio. Our appellate attorneys also spent several hours assisting with getting the transcripts correct at a charge of over $18,000.00. These charges were reasonable and necessary given the months long process of getting the transcripts corrected. I asked Huseby's director twice in emails whether the company had used AI to do the transcriptions but I never got an answer. The quality of this work was appalling. This was quite surprising, because Huseby did some AI deposition summaries for our firm in the past and did excellent work.
Company its self does a great job. However how they treat their employees…. It’s disgusting, could write a book on how they treated my wife. They need to reconsider the managers they have.
