Update.. I visited Jacson Lighting and Electric again after a whole year, Quinn was still there offering great customer service for my electrical supply purchase. Now I am looking at replacing my kitchen light and reviewing models for Quinn to price for me. It is still a five star review. Old Review I like this place. The customer service was excellent (Quinn was the guy). I went in for an obscure bulb for my RV porch light. They had it, picked the order fast, and even though my purchase was small, they treated me like I was placing an order for a huge amount. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.
Products are junk. Melinda in customer service nice on phone. She tells you what you want to hear then you're blown off. Green light bulbs that I pd a premium price for only lasted 2 days. Very poor customer service. No refunds or any way to solve bogus products they sell. Fair warning if you buy from them.
I was nervous ordering 3 fluorescent bulbs and having them shipped to Ohio from Florida, but the pricing was so good I just had to order. Sure enough the package arrived damaged but the bulbs inside still looked good until I tried them and they started smoking. I called and talked to the owner and explained my situation. He took care of me and replaced the damaged bulbs.
I ordered 4 miniature bulbs for aged recessed lighting fixtures in which the bulb is only 20 watts and has a voltage of 28. Prices were great. I selected 2 day express delivery and received notification that the bulbs had been shipped on the same day I ordered. I fully anticipate that based on the bulbs description they will be what I need. I could not find these bulbs at any local brick and mortar store. Before placing ordered I called and verified that the bulbs were in stock and available to ship. The sales clerk Melinda was very nice! As of now..........I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.
Ordered 10 pcs of A15 60W Incandescent Bulbs, which are hard to find at major big box retailers or very pricey. Well packaged for shipment and received within 10 days using Super Saver shipping. Upon installing 5 of the bulbs, they fired up immediately, illuminating as expected. Appreciate the prompt shipment and value provided.
The only time I have ever ordered from this company I chose the "Super Saver" shipping option because the item was in stock and I was not in a hurry. What I didn't expect was that "Super Saver" means slow shipping AND bad service. It turns out that that they didn't even bother shipping my order for 3 weeks so it will take over a month to get a few light bulbs from these guys. I called and spoke with a gentleman who identified himself as the owner because I wanted to express that I felt this was inferior service. He didn't seem to care. He told me "When you pay for a first class ticket you get to sit in the front but when you pay for coach you have to sit in the back" Nice attitude from the owner of the business! This will certainly be the last time I order from Bulbtown. There are too many other places where I can spend my money.
They are a SCAM and do bad business. Please save your time and money and buy from somewhere else. Not worth the headache. I've placed my order 5/1 and today is now 8/1. Over the past 3 months I've called several times to only get the run around. Now when I call no one answers and leave voicemail and no return call. No one answers my emails. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company which they also haven't responded to.
Another merchant to avoid... Nice website, but that's where it ends. Very poor (as in none) communication, no response to emails, they took almost 2 weeks to ship (after numerous emails which were unanswered and a complaint to paypal). They call themselves the "Last Resort" for bulbs and that I can agree upon. Read the comments from other people and be warned !
NON commercvial Online order , Saturday immediate email confirmation of the order , Saturday . The next business day( Monday ) , stamps dot com USPS sent an email , a label has been printed . 2 days later( Wednesday ) , the order was fullfilled and shipped package received the coming Saturday . Literally 7 days + about 5 hours ,... Saturday to Saturday . That was USPS Super Saver Shipping . Jackson Electric Supply and Bulb Town merged . Anyone who needs bulbs and support products has my recommendattion . 4 stars ? well ?
Horrible!! Horrible customer service! Please avoid this place! You will never get your money back! They rude with you and they hung up on you all the time. The lady Melinda is horrible! I couldn’t even imagine that someone can behave like this towards the customers ! OMG! Please avoid this place. I made a purchase over a month ago. Instead of two pack of bulbs I only got one. Then it turned out that they did not have the second pack in stock which I haven’t been notified ( not even an email from them) I’ve been emailing them and no answer, when I call MELINDA says that you will get an email and be refunded and hungs up. It’s been three weeks and I still don’t have any refund or email. Again, avoid this place!!! HORRIBLE AND RUDE!!!
