Highly, highly recommend this service for anyone looking to make the most of their Japan travels! My husband and I were hoping for help in choosing hotels, but Clayton provided much more. For a very reasonable fee, he provided us not only a list of excellent hotels, but he also booked each one for us, booked our transport, provided a comprehensive list of activities recommended in each city, and helped us brainstorm an itinerary that would fit exactly what we were looking for from our trip. We were able to explore a lot of areas off the beaten path thanks to his guidance. Clayton was wonderful to work with, and extremely communicative, thorough and prompt. We will not hesitate to use his services again the next time we travel to Japan

My initial idea about going to Tokyo, Japan was to spend a long weekend there in order to catch a limited traveling art exhibition. After being persuaded by friends that, since I had the time and had never traveled in Asia, I needed to see more of the country I contacted a travel agent who put me in touch with Clayton. Right from the start Clayton was easy to talk to and had lots of ideas for me to further expand my trip. I was hesitant as I was traveling alone and spoke barely a few words of Japanese (thanks to Duo Lingo) however, we turned one long weekend into an unforgettable, two week, Japanese art exploration. While I was there, Clayton was as close to a concierge as one could be. My understanding of his love of Japan was clear to me the moment I arrived in Tokyo. I highly recommend him to any traveler wanting a down-to-earth, authentic cultural experience of Japan. I very much look forward to my next trip and will be reaching out to him again! If there was a sixth star Clayton would get it. Prompt with advice, recommendations, options to all my questions over a 5 month period prior to the trip. Moment of truth was the day of the flight to Tokyo. Flight was delayed three hours and I started worrying about the presence of the driver at the airport for pickup to the hotel. Last thing I wanted to do was take a bus or train into town. Checked in with Clayton, he made some calls, put me at ease and my wife was a happy camper. Two thumbs up for Clayton!

I had been dreaming of going to Japan for a while, and last year, Clayton finally made it happen. It was a little overwhelming, considering I hadn't left the country in over a decade, and I was planning on going solo. Clayton had so many good suggestions, and he made me an amazing itinerary that wasn't too overwhelming but still had a good amount of ideas. He set up all of my hotels (which were all amazing), as well as my JR rail pass, which let me travel all around the country. When I told him my budget had changed, he was very understanding and changed some of the venues that we had planned in short order. I plan on going back very soon, and I will definitely be using Japan Travel in the future!
