If I could give zero stars I would. I’ve had two plumbers out. Between two plumbers and myself no matter how hard we turned the water shutoff valve AT THE STREET the water would not shut off to the house. Chris told me that it was our issue basically we weren’t turning it off hard enough and after having two plumbers out it’s still on my end without even having Jea come out. So good luck with your leaky meter JEA.

Why we have to give them a start? They don’t deserve half star!!!

Awful business practices that you’re forced to accept without any viable alternatives. Predatory billing practices and next to no customer service or support. 0/5 stars.

JEA CEO should be embarrassed giving herself a 700k raise while charging customers more. Joke of a company.

Cut my home power without warning while I was updating my pc and servers. Over $1400 in damage. Also a remote worker. Zero consideration, integrity, or accountability. We need a second option because jea is trash from top to bottom.

JEA is one of if not the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Their rates are exorbitant because they're the only utility company in Jacksonville and the unfortunate residents of this city have to deal with that on a daily basis. Their payment system feels as though it's set up for you miss payments so that they can charge additional fees for turning your utilities back on. Their customer service is by far the worst I've ever experienced and they are consistently unwilling to work with customers even when JEA is fault for misreading meters and charging customers for about 2 or 3 months worth of water at once on top of their insane electricity rates. For a 3 bedroom 1 story townhouse it should not cost almost 15 dollars a day for just electricity. They are a predatory company, I am considering selling my home and moving specifically for the purpose of getting rid of JEA.

Absolute monopoly. We have no other choice of water or electric service. The rates are outrageous and we the citizens are being siphoned for our money. If you make $100,000+ a year then it's no big deal, but for the regular person we cannot afford this place. Customer service is horrible, the only good thing about this place are the actual field employees who do the actual work for this place. Other than that, gth

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Moving into the area shortly, and I had this displeasure of working with an agent named Bob. He completely dismissed me for being a woman, and wouldn’t let me tell him what the town we are moving into was telling me. He tried to mansplain to me that power could not come back on for more than 2 days until the inspector from the town showed up…but the inspector from the town said he couldn’t come out without the power back on. Make it make sense. Customer service is severely lacking.

Unfortunately a JEA man damaged a plant I had in my yard. I contacted JEA & let them know what had happened. A man spent over a week finding a plant I do not know how to even find! I’ve never seen such amazing service from JEA! This is deserves a raise!!!!

If there was another option I would RUN towards that company. Shut off our power with no warning and said it’ll take 24 hours to restore… how complex of a problem is restoring power? Is it not some type of switch? No call, no text, no email warning us they’ll be shutting down our power. Ruined a week of meal prep and 100$ worth of groceries. FYI they claim they’ll restore power “IMMEDIATELY”, by immediately they mean 24 hours.
