I’m in San Antonio for a wedding. The day of the wedding, I woke up at 3 AM with the realization I hadn’t gotten my new tuxedo pants hemmed. In the wee hours of the morning, I googled for the nearest seamstress or tailor within walking distance of downtown. It was Martha’s. I called as soon as she opened and asked if she could hem the pants while I waited. As soon as she said yes, I was out the door. Martha had me in and out in a flash. Super nice lady and she turned a minor catastrophe into no big deal. I highly recommend her—fast service and reasonable prices.

Ms. Martha did a wonderful job on tailoring my dress; I brought my dress in on a Tuesday and needed it for an event the same Friday. She is the sweetest. I had only asked her to bring the bodice of the dress higher, but she asked, “Did you want me to take in the waist more as well?” I was worried about the tight turnaround and she said, “We’re a team of 5 ladies, we will get it done. Do not worry.” The shop is truly the best and they have a keen eye for dresses💕
Martha’s Designs is amazing. I found her business on a simple search for alterations. I brought her more than a dozen pair of pants that my husband and I needed altered. Hemming and sizing as well as button repair. She was friendly, professional and expedient. She completed our pants in excellent time despite us not needed any particular due date. I returned right after to discuss some custom pants that she again completed quickly and so excellently. I’m so glad to have found a local tailor and seamstress! Highly recommend
I came to Martha's for the first time last week for a broken zipper on a jumpsuit. She was able to get it fixed super fast and it looks like new! Pricing was also fair. I'll definitely be back for future alterations or repairs. Side note - this business is a residential house from the exterior. There is an Open/Closed sign on the door for business hours :)

My daughter needed alterations for her prom dress. They were able to make it her length. The corset was sheer they were able to line the corset with the extra fabric from the bottom to the corset. It came out so beautiful. So many people have commented on how much they loved her dress. I have been recommending Martha’s to everyone. Super sweet team and love the wind chimes outside 💚
