I will likely not use National again, unless there is no other option. When checking in at Boston Prudential Center, the employees there did not know how to use National software (since Enterprise and National merged, they were Enterprise employees), so I had to wait 20 mins for a manager to check in. Once checked in, they took me out to get the FULL SIZE I had reserved, and they had two options: something that looked like a repossessed Amazon delivery truck, and a compact hatchback. The employee basically told me to deal with it.
My only gripe is finding the office. For those not familiar with the area, you're better off walking into the parking garage at ground level near PF Changs and following the Enterprise/National signs. Customer service was exceptional, paperwork was already printed, car was ready to go!
I have been renting from National at the Pru for several years and every time I go, regardless of who is there, I get terrific service. Everyone is friendly, knowledgeable, and the cars are clean/perform well. Will continue to go there.
The cars are usually very clean, but the rental I had was wet and had tree pollen on the windows. I had to stop at a gas station to wipe off the back window. My rental was from noon to noon the next day. The invoice started my rental at 7:30 am, I was charged for 2 days instead of one because the rental statement started at 7:30. Not a happy customer.
Upgraded from Nissan Sentra to Infinity Q60 for same price!
Good first experience with National. Back Bay location was close to multiple hotels, staff was friendly/helpful and we were able to drop off after hours when we got back to Boston.
Staff are very helpful, but the car selection is not the best and they always come without a full tank of gas which either leaves me with not enough gas to get where I need to go, or trying to figure out when I've put enough gas to get to 2/3rds. Location does make up for most of the issues though.
We received a 5 stars service in Boston, the assigned car was perfect on the road until Florida! Thank you for the professionalism and kindness.

Unable to rent the car this time because they would not allow a pickup at the airport and a return downtown. No issue in doing this with Hertz.
