I am extremely disappointed with the service my husband and I received from Potter Legal Group. His assigned lawyer, Tajara Thomas, was absolutely unhelpful and unprofessional throughout the entire process. She told my husband to sign deportation papers instead of fighting for him, even though the immigration judge herself told her to file a B42 relief. During court hearings, she had no answers for any of the judge’s questions, and she never communicated properly with us. I was only able to speak with her once, and every time we needed help or information, she was unavailable or unresponsive. The other attorney assigned, Anna Potter, never once reached out to me. She didn’t take the time to call, explain anything, or show even a bit of empathy for what our family was going through. At the beginning, the firm promised us that my husband would be released with his green card in three months, but as soon as they received payment, they changed their story and started saying that the best option was deportation. It’s heartbreaking and frustrating to deal with a law firm that does not keep their word, does not fight for their clients, and offers no communication or compassion to families in such difficult times. The only two people who showed any kindness and patience were the paralegals, Gabriel and Osiris. They were polite and tried their best to help, but unfortunately, the attorneys’ lack of effort and care ruined the entire experience.
