Beautiful place to have event but far as service it sucks big time..Had a manager name Jeffrey who was definitely the worst in the catering business I ever met & I been in this business since the 70s.. The unprofessional way he was treating his workers because it seems to me they weren’t interested in his sexual advances should be a crime. I totally have nothing against men wanting to have fun with each other but when it comes to a Man using his position to make another man go out of his character is criminal.. I could see one day the police coming to one of these venues he is working & take him away In handcuffs..So would I recommend using this facility N O… You been warned..& 1 star is because the place looks good on the outside.. But don’t go near where they prepare the food unless you like small critters..oh yeah Mr.jeffrey the next time you decide to sniff aspirin (smh)up your nose please do it in private..That Jeffrey is definitely not a good fit to be in anybody’s catering business..

Nice place and good food but 2 flights of steps to get to the facility. There's no elevator and it's non disability friendly. I am not in the best of shape (spine issues) and those steps became a real hazard for me.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish with our event! Everything was handled so professionally and with such care and they were so helpful since we were planning our event remotely. Highly recommend!!

I had a great experience with PPP for my wedding! Chris was so helpful and responsive leading up to the big day, and the venue staff was beyond attentive during the big day. PPP was the blank canvas I needed to make my dream day come true, and they were amenable to our requests and worked so well with the vendors. If you're looking for a unique, intimate venue downtown with great customer service, I recommend PPP!

My husband and I were married at Power Plant on 10/01/22 with a wedding of about 90 guests. Power Plant helped us make the day exactly how we pictured. The venue itself is unique and beautiful, and its location in Old City was perfect for our guests traveling to Philly from out of town. We had an open canvas for our decor (although you'll really only need minimal since the building is already so pretty!), and Chris and her team were very helpful throughout the whole planning process and were on top of everything the day of. This gave us the fun of a DIY venue without any of the DIY stress, which made it easy for us to be present and enjoy every moment of our wedding day.

My husband and I got married here in September 2024 and we could not be more thrilled with this venue. We wanted a never ending cocktail party with a dance floor that never stopped and that's exactly what we got. Chris and Jim were such a pleasure to work every step of the way. Chris is SO communicative and makes planning an event here an absolute breeze. Jim, helped us with all our drop offs and truly made us feel like we were a part of the family. The overall vibe of the space is so unique and perfect for an urban wedding. We were able to walk from our Church Wedding at Christ Church and host the reception. The upstairs area was perfect for our photobooth. Guests ate and drank all night and the space was perfectly set up for flowing conversation and movement so guests could mingle with whoever they pleased all evening. We did not opt for a formal sit down and instead passed food all evening and served a pad thai station and sushi bar. It was a 10/10 experience and the space made it so you could dance if you wanted to, sit down if you wanted to and have a conversation, or watch from above. If you are contemplating this space - go for an in person site visit and you will never look back. Thank you to Chris and team for making our wedding so special and for helping our reception run so smoothly.

We got married 4/26/25 at the Power Plant! We had a cocktail style wedding with 130 people. It was the perfect size. I loved working with Chris - she was beyond helpful with all of my questions, and giving me fantastic suggestions for caterers / photographers / timelines etc. She checked in regularly without my even asking! Every vendor that I worked with (even ones I didn't find thru Chris) had nothing but good things to share about the venue. I had a shorter timeline leading up to the wedding (<1 year) but she made it stress-free! Her staff are incredibly competent and kind people as well. The wedding day I got SO many compliments on the space. I really didn't even need to do much decorating. I brought some tea lights and potted plants as centerpieces. The space is such a great location - we couldn't even hear the PATCO (even tho its right nextdoor - also a great way for our guests from NJ to get there). My only complaint is that there is a decibel limit for the music, so when we were on the dancefloor we could hear ourselves screaming out the lyrics lol.

I couldn’t imagine having two people better than Chris and Jim nor imagine a better venue than Power Plant Productions for our wedding. Chris had such a wonderful sense of composure and poise on our initial call being able to answer every question and concern we had. Once we booked, the level of communication and attentiveness never dropped – whether it was questions about décor, floor plans, or seating charts. Chris and Jim also pointed us in the direction of fantastic vendors who worked tirelessly both through the planning process and on the day of the event. They truly only work with the best of the best. As for the space itself, Power Plant is so gorgeous and unique giving a grandiose scale with the smoke stack at its heart without losing the intimate setting that we were looking for with our closest family and friends. We had check ins as we brought in décor, flowers, etc but never felt overbearing (kind of like you want your waiters to be at a restaurant). Pick up following the event was just as easy and allowed us to move at our own pace once we had our stuff together. All in All, if you want a venue to stun your guests (complimentary) with customer service to ease all concerns about the big day, look no further than Power Plant Productions. -Renee & Rob

We had our wedding/reception at this beautiful, modern space. It has a cool industrial vibe but also elegant with the way they have it decorated as is. We got so many compliments from guests about the space! They are also very personal and work with you every step of the way - especially during our covid wedding situation! Awesome venue and people!
