Power Plumbing Company

I have to say I am quite disappointed with my experience with this company. I had some minor repairs that needed to be done and the guy came out and did it no problem. I was a bit irritated that the hourly rate wasn't detailed on my invoice, but they cleared that up with me. What REALLY upset me, was checking on the basement toilet after he left. I noticed that he had used the toilet, and there was still "evidence" that he did. I sent an email to the company letting them know that this was upsetting to me, and while I don't mind paying for travel time, I do mind paying for the plumber to use my toilets. It's been 4 days and no response.

I wish I could give a proper review of this company, but I can't even get them to call me back to schedule a time to take a look at the issue I'm having. I've tried twice now... both times I've called I've spoken to some very nice office ladies. but where's the follow-thru? My first call was routed to the person's voicemail that does estimates, I left a message, and 3 weeks later, still no call back. Second attempt, I requested a call back through their website, which they did same day, and I explained my situation again and said I had called before and never received a call back. She apologized and said I would definitely receive a call back this week. Well, it's the end of the week and no call back.. I'm so done trying to give them my business.

Warm and friendly small business plumbing outfit (I prefer small/medium businesses over bigger ones) that was recommended to me from a commercial plumber and I very pleased with my decision to have work done by this company, Linda emailed me the quote and receipt for my records and happy to say In the end, the quoted price was the same as the actual price. This is the second time we have used Power Plumbing of Portland and plumber, Jim Crume. My rental home is 110 yrs. old with a water heater in a crawl space. This was an emergency situation as the cement retaining walls crashed along with several wooden beams. He had very little space, amongst electricians and Terra Firma crews, to stabilize the heater and attach to a new cement wall. I was amazed how he had to maneuver his torso around dirt with about 5" of clearance above his head. Now everything is up to code and working beautifully. He not only has a great personality but is very knowledgeable about old homes and everything plumbing. I would recommend Power Plumbing highly.

Power Plumbing has ignored my six messages, being told by anyone I reach in the office the owner will be getting back to me, for an itemized bill or explanation of charges. The bill was paid immediately and we are not arguing charges, but the guy was at my house for less than 40 minutes and we had a bill for over $300. All I have been requesting was an explanation of charges. It wasn't an emergency visit, not on a weekend or holiday, and when I asked the guy while he was leaving what the service charge just to come to the house was he replied "I don't know the office takes care of that" and left, also taking one of our moving blankets that we put on the floor so any water was caught. While they got the job done, and it was a simple job cleaning a clogged line, I would never use this company unless you know the price up front.

Steve is wonderful, knowledgeable and I love Power Plumbing! They addressed my questions. This is the 2nd time I've used them!

Had contacted Power plumbing to investigate underfloor issue we had from a leak in our dishwasher - wood floor in the next room had started to buckle and we needed someone to check out that 1.) the leak was definitely fixed and 2.) how much water damage was done below the floor. We were able to schedule a date within a few days that worked for us and Kristie, who took our call, was very informative and polite. Steve at Power Plumbing came out and did a very thorough job of checking both dishwasher and sink to make sure all was good. He then went through the crawl space and documented with photos all that he found there and advised us of his findings and issues that may come to light later but were not a problem at this current time. Steve is a very caring and personable inspector, and talked with us about everything he was doing. We will be coming back to Power Plumbing for any and all our future needs - their expertise is great and cost of service are fair.

Scheduling was easy and received service in a couple days. Glenn from DeTemple plumbing, came a half hour early and replaced the Moen cartridge in the shower. He was here working for maybe 45 minutes and did a good job. I was billed for one hour and an additional 0.75 hours plus parts. Approximately $450.00. So be aware that this company has a questionable billing policy.

We had a great experience with Steve and Kristie at Power Plumbing! During the storm in January a pipe burst and subsequently flooded our hot water heater. We called plumbers all over town and thankfully Power Plumbing was able to fit us in on the weekend (which was several days quicker than other companies as Steve continued to work through the weekend). Kristie helped to answer questions I had about insurance and was very clear about pricing up front. Steve called ahead several times to let me know when he’d arrive. We are really pleased with the quality of work and Steve made the invoice very clear to help with our insurance claim. While Steve was there I had a few questions about some other plumbing and he took the time to explain things thoroughly and provide his professional opinion. Thanks again Kristie and Steve!
