One of the best local theatre companies in Austin right now! High quality artistic productions that are a little under the radar. I love that they feature both classic and contemporary work.
We saw SUMMER AND SMOKE, and we were pleasantly surprised! There was some very good work from the cast, especially the lead. It’s a no frills experience, but the seats are comfortable and sight lines are good. They lost a star because the theater was so hard to find - we’d almost given up! Very glad we didn’t.
This is probably one of the best new independent theater and repertoire companies in Austin that I have seen in the last decade. Elizabeth Newman is the artistic Director and has an excellent track record all over the country plus the sensibility that uplifts and encourages the nation theater scene in Austin to develop to greater heights.
