I had a great experience at this welding school. The instructors, Logan and Darius, were knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. The hands-on training is solid, and they made sure we understood both the technical and safety sides of welding. If you’re serious about learning the trade and building real skills, this is a strong place to start.

Today I graduated mig welding certification from this welding school. The entire experience was amazing I was scared as a woman and my two night instructors Logan and Darius were so patient and passionate in teaching all of us on our level. They demonstrated each step for people like myself that our visual learners. They offer assistance for payment for those who can’t completely pay out of pocket. They do have a morning class as well and Richard is there day shift instructor. If you’re looking for a new trade that there is a high demand field please get with them. They have job placement opportunities after completion of your certification. And they also offer recertification for those needing to recertification. Very amazing staff very knowledgeable and professional. The picture is our class of 8 mothers, fathers, students fresh out of high school and some students were returning citizens they don’t discriminate they will teach you on what ever level your on!!!!!

Richard is legit & straightforward he made it clear from the start that he wasn’t teaching me to become a full-time welder he was teaching me how to produce clean, reliable welds for my trade. I appreciated that, especially because I’m the type who gets obsessed with technique and tries to perfect everything. He corrected my body position, guided my hand, and consistently grounded me when I started drifting into ‘I want to master every welding style’ mode. He focused on quality, safety, and what was actually relevant for my job, and that helped me improve fast without overthinking. My only suggestion would be a few more demonstrations from the student’s point of view, since seeing the weld from my angle made things click quicker. Overall, he understood how I learn and kept me focused on what mattered. 1 Week of training down below.

I graduated last night and I had a blast with my trainers!! This is one of my best experiences in a training school. The Trainers took their time to show you how it’s done and showed you when you went wrong. I advise everyone that wants to get Welding Certified to choose this School . It’s like you’re training with real friends. The atmosphere was perfect. Thank you guys for this great experience.

I had such a great experience here. If your looking to get into welding. This is definitely the place to do it and i would highly recommend it. The best welding school around hands down. Richard, the instructor is an amazing teacher and very good at what he does and they are all really cool and great people to work with.

Welding Concepts Training is a great place for women seeking introduction to the field of Welding. This is the place which placed me on the roadmap to success in my chosen trade. There were two women in my course/group: myself and one other woman. Our class had a large number of individuals but regardless, my colleague and I the both received personalized feedback every step of the way, we were encouraged to practice even when it was challenging, and we prospered in the field upon graduation. My colleague and I both found ourselves working right out of school/training in our chosen field and with competitive salaries due to our qualifications and experience from this course. I highly recommend this school/training center for everyone , but particularly wanted to emphasize that for any woman contemplating taking classes there, the sky is the limit. I was hired straight out of graduation based on the centers placement program, and I can attest that the company I currently work for is definitely seeking more women in the field of Welding. I thank the entire Welding Concepts Training staff for everything, from taking my education from novice to excellence, to making the entire experience and environment very fun, rewarding, comfortable and safety first for all. Your support and dedication to your craft will surely make you a continued success in the industry.

Shout out to Richard and Logan. The instructors are friendly and outgoing. But they are also highly professional and will give constructive criticism straight to the point. This is so you can succeed. No one wants their students to fail. They want to make sure you have your fundamentals down yet also give you a sense of autonomy so you can practice and do your work without putting any extra pressure on you. Just like the art of welding itself, you must be a self starter, commit, and follow through, and stay on track. As a student, there is responsibility upon you. They will not throw you to the wolves nor could they hold your hand constantly. Keep it safe, clean up after yourself, pay attention, and practice. And most importantly, have fun.

I repeat do not take this course if you are serious about taking a step in the direction of welding. If you are looking to learn a hobby or a new skill and don't plan to pursue a career with it this is your program. Most places in the state of Michigan do not recognize this certificate that you receive from this program. especially if you have zero prior experience. they will also want you to know Mig/Tig not just one. now if you already know how to weld and just want to pick up on some skills this is the program for you. But again please if you are really wanting learn a new skill and find a new job please just go and do the whole welding course through a legit program. Richard is the one running it now I don't know the person who initially started the program but this man is not doing the business any justice this is clearly my opinion and my experience through this company. I found out the hard way that at the end of completion the qualification that you are given will not get you anywhere. Instead get in touch with Baker college in Owosso. For 6670 dollars you can actually get a way better learning experience an actual certification that will help you furthering you career in welding. Not to mention Richard asked me 2 times to smoke a joint with him after class. Also made comments to me that made me not want to retune to the class but I paid for the class myself i wasnt one of those people where the state paid for my class . He talked about how things i said got is dirty mind going. I completed the class got the bag have pictures. He doesnt help left handed people talked down to you and man explains everything.

I took a welding class run by Don Martin. He was the best teacher I ever had. Miss him a lot. This was years ago, but I'm glad to see his vision is still going forward to teaching people how to work and make it in this world. Don was an amazing guy. I got my first AWS cert from DTC with his help.
