Local area, always has great food, bukl items like fresh herbs, beans and more, great prices on EVERYTHING, I am not a member, but I have shopped here for 5 YEARS! All produce and fresh fruits are from local farmers...if you need or are looking for healthy food/produce/fruits, for a great deal, then this is the place!

I love co-ops and I'm happy the Alberta neighborhood has this shop! I just recently made a visit and I really enjoyed how efficiently used the space is. Almost everything I was looking for was reasonably priced and it goes back towards those who live in the community and city which is always a plus for me. I recommend a visit!

A bit small compared to many Pdx Coops but nice. Prices are high but not crazy. Selection was interesting... Saw some things I'd never seen before. Some of the staff seemed pretty grumpy, but not in a rude way. Nice parking lot.

A friend gifted me a membership here and I am so pleased. They are always friendly to me when I come around, and it really does feel like building community rather than just Doing Capitalism at each other. This is one of the only places that I can get local berries and grapes without any plastic. The produce is always so bright and delicious.

I was doing my grocery shopping today when a woman came up asking for money. When I told her no, she start pushing and shoving me multiple times repeating "Do you like that?" I loudly told her to leave me alone and stop touching me. The store is tiny, there is no way everyone in that store did not hear me telling her to leave me alone. No one came to my assistance even though there were two employees at the register. I told them what happened as I checked out, and they were apologetic, but they definitely heard me and didn't do anything about it. The fact that they didn't come to my assistance while I was being assaulted inside their store makes me feel incredibly unsafe to shop here.

They have a great selection, and reasonable prices. I’m not sure why they allow multiple people to loiter in front of the store, you’ll have one to two people asking for money and if they’re not there it’s people asking for donations. They also bark at you if you try to use your reusable shopping bag instead of a basket, but only if you’re not dressed well. I’ve used my bag multiple times to avoid the germs on the baskets (there’s no wipes or hand sanitizer by them) since I’m immunocompromised and have never had anyone say anything - until I did it in my sweats when I popped out for just a few things then they bit my head off for it. That was after following me around the store like I was going to steal, staring me down, despite the fact that I’m a member of the co-op and have been in two or more times weekly for a year and have never stolen anything. The people asking for money out front are often high, and are rude and sometimes aggressive if you don’t have a spare quarter. I sometimes avoid going there just because I’m not up to a potentially aggressive interaction with an intoxicated unhoused individual. They need to tighten up with the loitering if they want people to keep shopping there, and provide sani-wipes for their baskets if they want people to use them exclusively.

A relaxing place to shop and a good place to spend money. Quality local produce on special, bulk section a major resource, thoughtful products in the health and beauty aisle. Stocks the best available tofu in the city. I like that this store is loud about its ethics and is part of why I shop here. Happy to be a member! Thank you for being you, ACG.

Man, today I had a very bad day involving two of my family members. I was feeling really low and was waiting for the 8 bus. I stopped in to get an apple and chocolate bar while I waited. The clerk ask how my day was and I was straight up with him and told him my situation and that the day had been long. His act of kindness brightened my day. I didn't get your name, but thank you so much for your big heart and kindness ❤️.
