Cute place, loved the vibe. The lighting was nice. The food was fantastic and their drinks were too. Our waiter was attentive and friendly, great service. Small plates to share, the lemon curd ricotta cake with the lavender crust was one of the best desserts I've ever had!
Just went for the first time. I had the pork belly and a couple of cocktails. Everything was fantastic. Excellent service with super friendly and inviting staff all around. Highly recommended!
The black bottle gastrotavern has a very interesting cuisine mix. You're supposed to order a bunch of sharing platters, like you would do in a tapas restaurant. Food overall was really good, and tasty. Portions were a bit small, but with a group of 15 people we ended up ordering more food than it was needed. This place is pricey, so not recommended if you're on a budget. I am giving 5 stars to the cuisine, because it deserves it... Nice vibe, modern decor, clean restrooms. However, I wasn't a big fan of the waiter who kept on making jokes on us not being "big spenders", and not ordering alcoholic drinks. Also it was immediately clear he was pushing for ordering more food than it was needed for the table. Did not enjoy his "performance" nor pressure for overspending. That's why I removed 1 star.
Food and environment was great, super tasty and cute. Would not recommend to people with fodmap diet restrictions, almost everything has garlic and onion even things that didn’t have it listed on the menu.
Hidden gem that I was glad to discover last minute. Good cocktails and very tasty, varied selection of small plates. Have definitely seen enough on the menu to need to come back a few more times to try the other items. Great vibe and ambiance. Friendly staff.
Tried this place for my birthday. I really appreciated that the owner had donated lunch for our summit last summer to work on universal healthcare and labor. So, lunch was great, and DINNER WAS FANTASTIC! Delicious!
The food was great but the service was really lacking. We got the Asian Fried Chicken, both tacos (fish and pulled pork), and a side of flatbread. I may even go back for the food. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. We had a reservation but when we walked in, there was no one to check us in or seat us. After wandering awkwardly to the back, we were seated. Then, we waited 25 minutes before anyone spoke to us or took our order. (For context, the restaurant was maybe 25% full when we first arrived). Someone finally came after we flagged down a staff member and asked to place an order. While the food came quickly, our drinks didn’t come until we had all our food and were almost done eating. We also had to ask about those before they were brought. I had high hopes but this was a disappointing experience.

First of all, need to warn about rodents & cockroaches present at this restaurant. Saw a rat scurry across the floor and cockroach crawl across the bar. Candlit atmosphere does not disguise or distract from the critters running around indicating this place is super dirty. Food is pretty decent if you don't think about the rodents that must be running around your food. Did not see any women employees which seems weird..? Would like to see more woman representation instead of getting hit on by my waiter. Didn't feel like a very safe environment.
Fantastic food and laid-back, cute atmosphere. Waitstaff was incredibly kind & attentive; our waiter provided several recommendations for our trip, which we appreciated! Cocktail / wine selection was great. Charred broccoli and spicy shrimp were not to be missed.
