Ordered 4 dishes, flavors were all underwhelming with the exception of the aguachile (that's was a 4 out of 5). Service was prompt initially but then straight up disappeared. Never checked in how if everything was ok, forgot the check, forgot to go box. Bartender had to intervene. Don't see myself returning. Not worth the price.
My husband and I absolutely love Black Bottle. We had our first date here and spent our second anniversary here on New Years. The food was amazing. The ravioli and brazed ribs are delicious. Ate way more than we should have, because we had to try the Pear and gorgonzola flat bread. It was worth it....! Easy to say we'll be back again.
I give the drinks and dessert a solid five-star, but I did not necessarily enjoy most of the food. The ingredients were fresh, but the dishes were overall over-flavored — too greasy and way too salty in general. Perhaps I had high expectations from the amazing reviews I read. I hope to give some of the other dishes a chance next time I’m in town, but I will definitely ask for personalizations including light oil and light salt/sauce.
Walked past this bar everyday for almost a year. Finally decided today was the day and was pleasantly surprised. It was amazing. High quality cocktails, beautifully ambient environment, and great service. Highly recommended!
Black Bottle has a fun, shareable concept and a lively space, but the food didn’t deliver. Two dishes came out nearly identical aside from the protein, which made the menu feel repetitive. Nothing stood out, including the blasted broccoli, which lacked any real char and ate closer to raw than intended. Service was solid, but the overall experience fell short.
Roasted Pork Belly and the fresh mango sorbet and passion fruit coulis were tasty! As for the flatbreads, one with marinara sauce would be a great add to their options. Something to think about! Atmosphere was also calm and cozy. Great place overall.
Solid food with excellent services! Their HH menu is a bit limited but the vibe makes up for it!
Wow I had an amazing experience here with the help of our waiter named Alex. He was super nice, chill, and cool. We got 4 plates and a drink each and was overly full but we got dessert and rosé. All the dishes were super flavorful. My favorite dish was either the shrimp or the crab dip…just everything was so unique! I’d come back!
An excellent gastropub service delicious food and great wines. Our go-to restaurant in the neighborhood that never gets wrong. Service is always very attentive. Our food favorite is their malbec demi-glazed pnw beef short ribs, soooo good! Update: did a Valentine’s Day dinner of 2025 and the atmosphere is still 5/5. Food: 4/5 this time. Cod tacos, escargots, short ribs = 4.5/5, rhubarb cake = 2/5 (very imbalanced, barely tasted rhubarb, didn’t finish)
Spent Friday night at Black Bottle in Belltown, and it hit all the right notes. The atmosphere is effortlessly cool. Service was impressively quick without feeling rushed. 🍸 The cocktail lineup is solid, including non-alcoholic picks. The Amalfi Spritz was especially refreshing. 🍽️ Favorites - The cauliflower dish was a standout—tasted like pizza. (Gluten free) - Loved the *lamb meatballs* in the mezza plate—savory and well-spiced. - The sausage flatbread But the real showstoppers were the desserts: - The *Maker's Mark bourbon bread pudding* was rich and indulgent. - The *lemon curd cheesecake with lavender crust* (gluten-free!) was next-level—elegant, tangy, and aromatic. 🦆 🦐 Worth Skipping: The gambas al ajillo and duck wings didn’t quite land for me—just personal taste, but I'd pass on them next time.
