Loved the drinks, definitely strong. It’s a cute little shop, definitely will go again when I’m in the area.
SO arrogant. I was eager to check out Botld. Interesting concept and the potential to find new spirits. I am a huge Gin aficionado. When I asked what the botanical blend was for the gins on offer I was told "NO DISTILLER EVER REVEALS THEIR BOTANICAL BLEND" by a salesperson who claimed to be a spirits writer for Popular Mechanics (??). When you make a blanket statement like that that is calling out your customer for being misinformed, you'd better be right. I tried to show them that Aviation, Roku, Beefeater, Bombay, Dogfish Head, and a host of other distillers DO list their botanicals but her reply was a dismissive "I'll take your word for it". If you're posing as an expert, at least try to keep an open mind for people who are more informed than you. I will never shop at this establishment.
The one employee in attendance was more interested in her phone than the customers who traveled to 5 hours because of a glowing Tik Tok review. Purchased one drink and left as we didn't feel welcomed.
So, I started up with a delivery mix-up for a Christmas present. I sent an email on Christmas day so I wouldn't forget. Not only did they respond on Christmas, but they had it fixed within 2 days. They have great customer service that and the Bird Gang whiskey is good to boot! Would highly recommend.
If you are looking for unknown small batch expensive labels this is the place for you. Not your corner liquor store.
Loved the tequila. It was like fire stone or something like that with a orange/red label. Its always great to be able to taste something before you buy it.
I had a great experience here. I was offered samples and descriptions of various products without any questions. Also, they went beyond standard service to assist me with packaging a bottle I wanted to put into checked luggage. The double box solution we collaborated on in the store worked perfectly. I will be in Philly often and look forward to going back to grabbing something different from this spot. I will probably be there later on today. I need something for the ice I have.
