Within 10min after inquiry I received a response . In less than days I had an in-home consultation with the work appointment set up for the following day to change my light fixtures and upgrade all my light switches to dimmers. The 2 technicians arrived on time and completed everything in less than 2 hours. They were efficient, courteous and did great work. The cost was very reasonable . All aspects of my experience with BV Electronics was highly professional.

Unfortunately, we cannot in good conscience recommend BV Electric. They were hired to install a new 200 watt service line after the original service line broke. This was a fairly complex project. They were competent at completing the actual electrical work, but important coordination with PG&E, the city, and another contractor was poor at best. They were defensive/argumentative and we were forced to act as a facilitator on more than one occasion in order to move the project along. In addition, PG&E advised that BV did not follow proper guidelines for the project. Their inability to work cooperatively with these other entities, and to anticipate and respond promptly to issues and service requirements, resulted in the project taking 16 months to complete instead of the expected 6-12 months. Admittedly, our experience with such a situation is very limited, but we feel that the project could have been handled more effectively and expeditiously.

Working with this company was a great experience, they were so prompt and offering me an appointment. Most importantly, the electricians who came to my home, Jaime and his apprentice Luis, were so kind, answered all my questions, and did excellent work and fixed everything they could as well as gave me advice on Everything else I asked.

Had a light out and some outlets go out in my kitchen. Gabriel and another technician repaired it in no time! They arrived on time and were very professional. Highly recommend!

My bathroom light wasn't working, so I asked BV Electrician to come check it out. The technician was very friendly and came on time. He was very knowledgeable and able to pinpoint exactly where the issue was. Overall, I am satisfied with the service.

Jaime did a great job at figuring out what had caused 'trouble' with the breakers and with updating electrical outlets. I greatly appreciate his patience in explaiing what had caused the problems and his advice as to what to do if there were any further issues. Thanks Jaime for making everything safe.

My interaction with the BV Electric office was excellent. Calls and emails were returned promptly and they were able to set up the appointments for both the estimate and then the work fairly quickly. I did not shop elsewhere but I felt the price quoted was fair for the work involved, so I proceeded to engage them as they had come highly recommended by a neighbor and my real estate broker. They had to open trenches in my primary closet wall to relocate the electrical panel to outside the closet so as to comply with current code requirements. As the attached picture shows, there were a lot of cables involved and they had to work around the existing wall studs. It was supposed to take 6-8 hours. The two guys (father and son) they sent were very nice and it appears they did a good job, but it was challenging to communicate with them some of the time as their English was limited and I do not speak Spanish. There were a lot of delays in getting the work completed in the course of the day, but a good portion of that had to do with the senior guy's van being stolen the day before; as a result he did not have all the required equipment and materials (including the new panel) so each of them went out for long stretches to get supplies, during which minimal or no work was accomplished. I of course want to be understanding of the stolen van situation, but as a customer, I expected the company to step up more and ensure that things moved along faster and more efficiently. In the end they were here for 8.5 hours after arriving late, and had to come back the next day for 90 minutes to finish up. In the end, everything works in the house and I have a proper new electrical panel in the requested location (see second picture). I really did like the two guys who worked on my project, and I think the end result is good, but I just wish the process of getting the job done - and communicating about it - was smoother.

BV Electric Inc. was quickly responsive to our initial inquiry, and all employees communicated clearly, welcoming and answering our questions thoroughly. The electricians thought “outside the box” and were proactive in offering alternative approaches to addressing the challenges of our situation. We appreciated that they alerted us to implications good and bad of each choice. The employees were prompt and pleasant to have in our home. Thank you BV Electric Inc.
