DCH did our basement and it turned out fantastic. It's now my favorite place in the house. They did my sister's basement and just finished a friend's basement too. All turned out beautiful. I highly recommend.
What a breath of fresh air to work with a 'family organization' who truly cares about quality. Superb workmanship -- loved working with everyone. The subs were all very good to work with. Very professional and honest people. They did exactly what they said, and the quality of the work was exceptional. They were able to work within our relatively small budget without cutting corners. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a basement finish.
We had our basement looked over in May and were told we would get an estimate in a week. Two weeks later I sent any email asking for our estimate and was told they had our address wrong, and 3 days later they had still not sent me anything. I sent another inquiry and instead of a estimate I received a reply telling me that they could do the job for $24000, but since their estimate was more than my estimated budget we wouldn't be seeing any further numbers unless we requested it. Since I thought that is what I ALREADY requested by asking for estimates over and over, I decide it wouldn't be worth working with the company. Several months later my son started school, and the owner had a advertising table at our school's open house. I asked him about it, and he completely blew me off. No apologies or attempt to rectify the situation, just a reference to the size of our house. Yesterday they left a paper flier on my door offering estimates for basement finishing.... that's when I decided a review was in order. I've never had a company who I'm trying to hire for a $20000+ job act so unprofessional. The 'estimate' we received was higher than the budget goal I gave them via phone, I can only guess this affected the level of customer service we received. We reworked our budget and are in the process of hiring another company, their loss. I rewrote this review as I had mixed up some numbers, and since DCH construction threaten me with a legal action for leaving a poor review on their Facebook. I have corrected the mistyped number and reposted the review.
From the start DCH came way out in front of the others. With just a verbal request of what we wanted there design was the most we could have imagined. The different sub contractors were all very complete in there part of the project. They did not take any short cuts and in some cases went the extra mile. Our basement came out better than we had hoped.
I can not say enough about DCH. We went with them because of the time, price and they went above and beyond to make sure that they would not be disturbing my household during construction. They were very responsive to my emails and calls, even on weekends! I also asked if they could possible get it done a week before the agreed upon timeline and they did everything they could and made it happen! They are also perfectionists and would find things that i would have never noticed and corrected it. I will work with them again in the future.
We had our basement finished by DCH Construction. The job was quoted to take 6-8 weeks and it was completed in 5 weeks. The craftsmen ship was awesome and the employees were professional and reliable. The one thing I have to say is that when completing a basement there is a ton of dust but Trei and his crew made sure to keep everything clean. Anything we wanted changed Trei was more than happy to do. If we need more work done on our house we will be calling Trei.
Sue, Trei and the entire DCH team did a magnificent job on our basement finish. Not only did they complete the project ahead of schedule, but stayed on budget even with two major holidays mixed in. They are professional, provide the highest quality, and pay special attention to detail for each and every finish.
DCH did a great job finishing out my basement. They were on time (even with supply chain issues), professional and very clean. They went in/out the basement windows so didn't have anyone or material coming through the house. I had a problem with the grout on some hexagon tile and they worked on it until it was right and I was satisfied. (inconsistent color). I would highly recommend.
