ALWAYS Excellent! Puerto Rican good FLAVORED and amazing customer service. Great frituras (fried) stuffed potatoes, empanadas, alcapurias.
The Monfongo was AWESOME! Had the garlic shrimp one, and the garlic chicken on. Another friend had the Meat and Veggie Skewers. We got there right before closing so they ran out of rice 😢 I will return because I seen it on other people's plates and it looked really good. Their sauce was EXCELLENT! I could just drink it... 😂 The owner has just a natural beauty aura about her. Packed, and hot and very busy, she kept a smile on her face the entire time. Looking forward to our next trip there. Ps. Only opened Thursday to Sunday and you best get there way before closing so everything you want to try is still available. I'll probably make a special trip Thursday to get more, why? Because I want to try more of these savory dishes!!
Will have to come back at least once a month. They gave us so much food, we came home and napped.
This place is horrible, the Women at the counter was very rude and nasty towards me. When I first walked in she spoke English to me perfectly. I sat and waited for my food had numerous of conversations with her about items on the menu in English. My wife wanted a specific sauce and on their menu it says it cost one dollar. So check out time come my order is 52 dollars then I asked for the sauce she charge me 5 dollars for a small little cup. I stopped her showed her there menu where it says a dollar and that she added 5 dollars and now she couldn't understand me and only spoke Spanish. Now I'm questioning what else she over charged me for when my wife only had one plate of food & a few side items 57 dollars for what !! This place will scam you for your money and take advantage if you don't understand Spanish. & my wife placed a call in order annd it still took over an hour to get.. Atmosphere was horrible music was too loud to hear yourself think. Workers especially the women behind the counter where horrible. It's a bunch of chaos and I'd never return.
The rellenos de papa and Cubano were really tasty. The tostones nachos is good but the plantain was cut a bit thick. Definitely a repeater for the food. The atmosphere felt a bit clubbish. They mentioned there is karaoke at night.
The food was amazing I had the Chinese rice with fried pork. It was delicious. My husband had the rice with gandules and seafood salad. Amazing. The carrucho empanadilla and sorrullitos were delicious. Definitely recommend it.
Came here for lunch yesterday after my coworker introduced me to the location. The drink I had was the Guanabana. I ate: Pincho de pollo (chicken skewers), Chuleta Frita Encebollada (fried cubed pork), and Chicharrones de Pollo (fried cubed chicken). Honestly was blown away by both the food and the service. Every staff member made sure I had what I needed, and the food was mouthwatering and delicious. The fried pork was delicious with the onions and spices used, and the fried chicken was so moist and tender that it broke apart in my mouth. The highlight of the dishes was the chicken skewers. The flavor and way it was grilled was absolute perfection. I’ve already referred this restaurant to my family, it’s just that good!
As a Puerto Rican, I don’t say this lightly — this place cooks better than home. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and tradition! ❤️❤️ The flavors were authentic and perfectly seasoned from the arroz con gandules to the queso friti. You know the kitchen truly knows Puerto Rican food, not just how to make it, but how to make you feel at home while eating it!! Absolutely one of the best Puerto Rican restaurants I’ve ever been to. 🇵🇷🇵🇷
Michael was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of even though we dont speak Spanish lol. Best mofongo and pizza empanadas you can find in Jax. Very authentic food and true PR vibe. We just discovered them but we will be regulars from now on. BRING CASH or pay with an App.
Flavorikan was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, the presentation of each dish was impressive, and the service was attentive and welcoming from start to finish. Servers, Camila and Yakira were amazing! The music created the perfect atmosphere and added to the overall vibe of the evening. Great food, great music, great service. I’ll definitely be back!
