This place is awesome! We came here from Utah. Amazing! Super cool staff. Great coffee. Great sandwiches. Highly recommend!
If you're looking for a coffee shop with great coffee with plenty of shaded outdoor seating, this is spot to go. I've been here many times. The coffee is consistently well made. The cafe ambience is suitable for reading / studying / working. The outdoor seating is shaded but not heated. So suitable for a warm sunny day, but maybe not in winters. Located on a busy street in Fremont but usually you can find parking in the inner streets with a 5 mins walk.
If you walk by quickly, you might mistake this place for a house on 36th Street, but no, this is one of the coolest coffee spots around. Fremont is a little rougher than neighboring Ballard but this spot is a nice little refuge from the grunge outside. When we stopped in, there was a woman working on her Physics homework, a man coding in Python, and a few people reading very LARGE leather bound books. There were also a few groups of tourists speaking language other than English. A little bit of everything. There was a wonderful sign showing a picture of Jay-Z telling me to stop using my phone while I was order, which I enjoyed. There was also an extensive menu of coffee drinks and few basked goods and hot items available for purchase. Although they are not the draw of this place. The main value proposition is the atmosphere and that Fremont Coffee makes you want to just come *hang out* for a while. If I lived here, I would spend most of my coffee shop time at this place.

Very cozy place. Staff were friendly, helpful and patient when choosing items. Drinks are delicious, as well as pastries, prices are average for area. Would definitely reccomend
I stayed in the Fremont neighborhood for three nights and I went to Fremont coffee every morning for my caffeine kick off. They do a great iced latte and we really liked their cold brew. I got a cappuccino the next morning and was very pleased with my selection. They a bunch of fresh bakery items as well. Would definitely come back in the future.
There was a line out the door but it moved fast. There’s indoor and outdoor seating available but it was a little crowded and hard to find a table. They also have some gluten free dessert options to choose from.
Ordered a caramel iced latte & I actually thought it was pretty great. It’s interesting - you order with the barista and then say your order again with the cashier. However, I actually thought the cashier was quite rude and cold. I don’t know, it was really off putting. My friends and I all thought the same too. I feel like she kind of forced me to tip as well by asking to look at the screen. If I’m paying $7-8 for a small coffee, you would think they’d be a little nicer??? Disappointed because it was a good cup of coffee but the attitude was distasteful

Looking for a cozy cafe in Seattle serving up locally roasted coffee? Then head over to Fremont Coffee on N. 36th near Phinney Ave. Located inside an old house converted to a cafe, the seating areas are spread out over several rooms with local art displayed on the walls. Super chill vibe. Recommendation: Try out some of their pastries. We loved the Blueberry Scone and the Cherry Almond Scone.
