Stopped in for the first time today for some guanciale and the staff was super nice and helpful! Very nice selection of everything you could need for a charcuterie board😊
Staff was very friendly and very patient. I think the selection was great though my experience is quite low. I will definitely be coming back to purchase items I wasn't able to the first time around.
Grater Goods is my go to place for food for friends, family and customers that then become friends! Jennifer's place offers a wonderful place to jump in to grab a gift certificate or two and then some meat and cheese for me on the go! Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable and allows you to sample to get the one you love. I like that she saves your order in the profile so next time I come in and say "can I get that squishy white cheese that wasn't too tangy I got last time" and then neither one of us guessing. I also love the Local items like Camp Craft Cocktails, cheese wrap and cutting boards to just name a few. ..All Great Gifts...Make an afternoon of it .... Grab a cup of coffee from Vagabond down the street or a bottle of wine next door at Bernie's then off to Community Loaves ....You my friend have a picnic and have met wonderful people along the way! Stop by, Learn a bit about cheese and charcuterie and ENJOY.
My favorite place to get quality cheese! They have all kinds here, and are very knowledgeable about the varieties. If you're not quite sure what you want, they'll help and let you sample. There's also a wine store next door, which is the perfect pairing for the shops. Great addition to Murray Hill!
I LOVE Jen and her amazing store!! If you are gluten free, she has plenty of gluten free options and can even make your charcuterie/cheese boards all gluten free!! Great selection of meats, cheeses and spreads. I absolutely love her boxes and boards and can’t wait to order more from her in the future!!
After returning from a trip to France, we discovered a newfound love of cheese. This place is worth the trip. The owner took the time to give some background on the cheeses she had in stock that were from The same region we stayed in. She was super friendly and patient with the cheese newbies. Ended up buying on her recommendation, and she knocked it out of the park. We will be back.
If you are a cheese-lover living in- or around- Jacksonville, visiting GG is a MUST. AMAZING selection of artisan cheeses, crackers and crisps, prepared spreads and accoutrements, etc. Ownership/staff is incredibly knowledgeable and ever-ready to offer up suggestions based on preference(s), tasting notes, and pairings! BONUS: there is an equally STELLAR wine shop directly next door filled with thoughtfully curated wines, bubbles, sake, etc. This little corner of Murray Hill is a one-stop shop for the beginnings for any great party, gathering, night-in, etc. Current favorite cheese: Rogue Creamery Rogue River Blue wrapped in syrah grape leaves soaked in pear liqueur.
Today was my first visit to Grater Goods, but it definitely won't be my last. I can't believe I never found this place... I'm a cheese lover! I'm definitely looking forward to trying other cheeses I haven't had before. It's great that you are allowed to sample before you purchase so you'll always be satisfied. Jennifer was wonderful and answered all of my questions! She gets a score of 100 for customer service (I do very few reviews). Can't say anymore other than I'm looking forward to my next visit!
The perfect local charcuterie shop. Great selections of cheeses and olives and crackers and everything you could possibly need for appetizers and condiments. Grocery stores will occasionally have some decent deals and occasionally have some good cheeses but everything at greater Goods is better and when you serve it to your guests they will notice the difference.
I enjoy going to the store so much. A great selection of cheeses and other local goods to purchase. Every time I go I am treated like someone special. They are so informative about the selection and knowledgeable. I was also recently able to attend one of the events and had an amazing time and learned some new things
