I can't thank Mr. Kaplan enough for the advice he gave me. He saved my fiancee and I from so much stress and worry after a contract breach with a wedding vendor. I enjoyed working with him. !!!

James P. Moon self-appointed judge, jury, and executioner determined my property belongs to my neighbor. Mr. Moon sent me a very threatening letter with only his client's side of the story. He didn't even take into consideration that his client was lying to him. He just reacted. He threatened me with criminal trespass and what would happen if I proceeded to replace my fence. Our neighbor was aware of the location of my property. I have a signed document by his client which she was in agreement of the location my property. Mr. Moon was gracious enough to provide me a copy of the Criminal Trespass Texas Penal Code, Section 30.05 so I would be fully aware of the implications of replacing fence. FYI, Mr. Moon, my neighbor does not own my fence. This matter should have been handled in a court of law not by what you stated in your vicious letter. If you want to acquire someone's property without court proceedings then hire this attorney.

I used their firm twice for Commercial Lease contract review, first time I was happy with the help. Second time I wasn't. Raised my concerns with them, and they dismissed, deflected, and diminished each point I raised. I felt as if my concerns regarding our strict timeline discussed, communication, and quality of work were relevant / accurate. They did not care and thus I'm writing this honest review. I won't be working with them again, which is unfortunate as I really hate looking for new lawyers. However, I do not work with folks that dismiss, deflect, and diminish issues I raise which I think are important and relevant.

Martin Averill is the BEST and baddest lawyer I have dealt with. He is sharp and makes you feel at ease while he deals with the matter. As a professor in Leadership and Management I can easily tell you he is on top. Thank you again Martin!

I was ashamed at this lawyer i had a case and he choose to double charge me having another lawyer in on it in early stages it was not supposed to be but a notice sent out on a lien i had paid off to have then release lien …. and he never ever did this … but he sure wanted all my money. The thing i hired him for he focused on the other lien and never even did a thing about first lien i hired him for explicitly . He wanted more money and rather talk to other lawyer on other party side and try to add up alot money talking to one of his friends who was the lawyer so he could charge me more money and barly spent 15 mins on phone with me. He did not explain good the reasons or what my choices where i was legally..He did what he wanted to without me while not doing what i hired him for. I asked for half money back and he only gave me a littlr bit I was ripped off i think he cares more about money or he would not have taken from someone weak suffering from cancer …

Charles Kaplan is the type of attorney every client wants on their side. He has the utmost respect for his clients and opposing counsels alike. His skill and hard work speaks for itself. You can't find a better attorney to get the job done.

I contacted this office in regards to an eminent domain case. The Trinity River Authority decided they needed to acquire a permanent easement across the parking lot of my business that I opened a few years ago. After fighting Trinity River Authority and Venus construction chaos for several months on my own, I hired a lawyer. Mr. Bob Dowd was assigned to my case as he supposedly had experience with this type of case. Throughout the course of the case, I was asked to come up with and write a presentation outline for my meeting before the judging committee. I was also asked to gather information from my neighbors that could be helpful and find my own expert witness. Then I was asked to put all exhibits together, including color copies. I was told that I needed to drop hard copies of everything off at their office, so that they didn't have to charge me for those. So I did. The day of the presentation, I showed up to find that several of my exhibits that I had put together, were not even admitted by the lawyer before the court date (key documents for my case). Now I am 6,500 dollars in and am looking at the next bill for 4,000 dollars (including charges for _them__ putting exhibits together?). There is a reason why there are so many jokes about lawyers being less than ethical. Please save yourself the expense and the headache of dealing with these guys. I would have done just as well to represent myself. Buyer beware.

I had a great experience with the firm! From reception to billing to working with Mr. Fleming. The team was always communicative. I had the esteemed pleasure to represented by Frank Fleming. He went to bat for me and my family and got us an amazing judgment. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing to sue someone for fraud, you have found the firm that will fight for you!
