Another big company. Gets you in there to tell you you need to pay 800$ for a CPAP machine and test even though, you have never had an issue. I refused cause that takes my freedoms away.
Trucker Tip: Driver entrance is not on Buckeye and 51st, it's around back on Mohave and Buckeye. The other entrance is for 4 wheelers. Yeah, I know.. Signage would be great, but they don't seem to know that.
I (#3371) pulled their trailer 1997to 2004 only on I-5 Tracy Ca to Seattle Wa when they had only dry vans.I not only enjoyed to drive my own truck i enjoyed more to work with all the nice peoples. Then i started my own business in Sacramento Ca and enjoying it.
This is by far the best CDL school in the Country. The instructors are subject matter experts when it come to safety, discipline and mentoring. What I learnt within 3 weeks is more than sufficient to make me a better person on the road.Joe, Bryan, Victor , Michele and others are just amazing people. Thank you for providing the best RECIPE for OTR professionalism. Go Knights, keep soaring like an eagle.
Facility was clean. Parking for trucks needs more organization. Shop is slow but thorough. A ton of put holes. Guard shack needs to speak proper English and be more friendly.
I'd much rather stay at a rest area on the side of the interstate than stay here at HQ. Staff here (especially the people in the guard shack) are insanely disrespectful and rude. Must just be how people are out here in the west....
I am an owner operator who tried to go with Knight. They talk a good game but kept doing the "bait and switch" with me. They could not ever answer if they had all info, or when they would. I have onboarded with three 9ther companies in 2-3 days, after 12 days, I gave up.
Safety staff is rude. A driver fainted and had a heat stroke. They Saud he would be okay to drive 8 hours later.
On the tour of Knight Transportation I meet the owner of Knight Swift Transportation and it will be a tour I will never forget. I would not work with or for these people if I was bagged to work with or for these people!
