Marine Layer

Outstanding customer service. Product line is limited, but made of best materials and quality workmanship. A little on the expensive side.

Ordered a set based on what was listed as in stock, then was told after purchase that part of it was sold out. The item still showed as available online, which is misleading. The resolution repeatedly put the responsibility on me to fix their mistake. I was left with half a set and had to repackage it, print a return label, and ship it back. That’s unnecessary extra work caused by inaccurate inventory. This should have been handled with a full refund from the start.

This is a GREAT addition to Denver and the neighborhood. I have been to CA, TN and SC Marine Layer stores and they are always in the coolest neighborhoods and this new store proves the same. Great clothes for really any occasion.

I came in here just to finally see what this store was and I ended up leaving with a shirt, 5 stickers, a pin, and a postcard. The staff are super helpful and sociable, and apparently very good at selling. I'd definitely come back for more stuff.

This place is awesome! I went in for the first time tonight and the staff could not have been more helpful and sweet. The clothes are super cute, and reasonably priced for being high quality, sustainable and recycled materials. They also have a very cool donation system where you can bring in any T-shirt and get $5 off your purchase! Wish I knew that before checking it out... but definitely going back!

The Softest and Best basics in town. So excited that RiNo is getting more boutiques and retail stores. The staff is great! A lot of people misinterpret the name “marine layer” as being a store for beach gear. They have everything. Check them out!

We had a super positive experience here at the Denver Marine Layer. Zach helped us and struck that perfect balance of help and conversation. He was also very patient as we shopped with the “help” of our two kids. We found everything we needed and more and enjoyed trying stuff on we had only seen online previously. This was our first trip in and we will be repeat customers.

Customer service helped track down a clothing item I was hunting for at this location. When I called the store associate (or manager) was just delightful! She was already informed of what the issue was and how to solve it seamlessly! Thank you so much for being such a good example of how a company should operate :)

It’s not everyday that you walk away with a memorable customer service experience that goes above and beyond, but I had that with Zach at this particular Marine Layer. I’ve only been to the Marine Layer in Venice many moons ago, so I wasn’t super familiar with the brand but he filled me in without being pushy or intruding on my shopping experience. I got the cutest skirt and then bought two of the same shirt because it’s just so soft and goes with everything. Anyway, I think it’s a good addition to RiNo and I’d suggest trying to go there when Zach’s there. He rules.

This was my first time to a Marine Layer store, despite having several near me back home in DC. I stopped in to find a lightweight coat since I forgot to pack mine for my trip to Denver. I was able to find a coat that met my needs at the time and would become a solid staple in my fall wardrobe moving forward. While the selection is limited and the prices are a little steep, the quality of the items is quite high. The coat I ended up purchasing fits as if I had it custom made and feels so much more high quality than my previous lightweight coat I picked up from a mass online retailer. As a bonus, the woman working during my visit was super friendly and helpful.
