My husband and I love this place. The food is SO good and affordable too. The tabouli salad and baklava are our favorites but we love everything. The grocery side of the store is also cool and a good place to find pantry staples and new fun things.

My second time here. First time we carried out shawarma and salads and food was decent. Also picked up some pantry items and fresh cheese you don’t often see. I like this market, so I want to give it 3 stars, but today’s experience was not good! This afternoon, we went to buy feta and fresh pita. The bread shelf (where I had found it previously) was empty. As I walked around the market, I came upon a bread rack full of fresh, packaged pita and picked one up. As I continued to stroll, the man running the store (owner?) GRABBED it from my hands, and said “That’s not for sale!” I said ok, and waited for him to direct me to what WAS for sale...He took the bread, hid it, turned his back to me, and whispered something to a young man. I waited to make eye contact with this gentleman, who asked me if I had checked the bread shelves. I explained that they were empty and all he could offer me was frozen instead. I didn’t understand that—but he was pleasant enough. WHY the other, older man couldn’t help me is really perplexing! He was extremely RUDE, making me not want to return—even though this location is convenient for us. I’m tempted to go out of my way to visit Baba’s or the River Market store instead. As other reviews have mentioned friendly service, I may just suggest my husband try it again, but run in alone next time. I wonder if HE would be treated so brusquely and dismissively…?? 🤔

My partner and I went there today for the first time to pick up some bits for dinner. We have been sleeping on this place! Staff was super friendly, their pasta salad and tabbouleh from their deli were refreshing and delicious, and their grocery selection was great. We’ll be back.
Best Falafel sandwich in Kansas City! And better than the restaurants in LA. Keep up the good work. Damascus Syria has great style.
Phenomenal. Best gyro I’ve had maybe ever. Lentil soup is great, baba ganoush is great, pasta salad is yummy, I will go back over and over. Can’t wait to try the baklava and pizza! What a gem and so affordable. And the imported snacks and drinks look fun to try to. The staff is also very nice!
