Fresh food, great atmosphere! Docking 1 star on service solely because it took quite a while for our meals to be delivered, but the server apologized profusely and let us try the gluten-free chocolate chip cookie for free as an apology. Neither of us are GF, but it was a REALLY good chocolate chip cookie!

Let me start by saying I love this place. I discovered it a couple months ago and today was my sixth trip in. The food is fresh and delicious, and the people are friendly and helpful. When someone else grabbed my to-go order today by accident, the staff quickly made another and threw in a free cookie and drink. Wonderful. But I’ve had one issue. Today, for the second time in a week, I found a hair in my food. It’s the size of an eyelash. Not okay. It grosses me out and I didn’t finish either salad. Grrrr

My partner and I stumbled upon Modern Market Eatery and were blown away! From the moment we saw the inviting menu outside, we knew we were in for a treat. Melissa, our server, was incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic. She clearly loves her job and the food, and it showed. We ordered the Curry Salmon, half Garlic Pizza, half Blueberry Pesto Mozzarella Sandwich, and the Nutella Marshmallow – every dish was absolutely delicious! The chef even came out to check on us, which was a lovely touch. It's clear that the staff at Modern Market Eatery genuinely cares about their customers. We can't wait to return and try more of their amazing menu!
We came to town for 3 days and ate here all three days!!! I was with my child and he loved the kid options…It was so yummy!! Michael was super friendly and welcoming!!! We will be back for sure..
I come here about 2-3 times a week because it’s close to my house. Currently it is July 17th 5:15pm “close to dinner time” and I have been waiting at the register for 15 minutes now with no one attempting to take my order. I finally flagged down one of the workers in the kitchen, but from my understanding they are telling me they don’t know how to use the register 🤷🏻♂️. It is a bit frustrating for sure, because if they weren’t going to serve people, a closed sign/notification at the register etc. would be nice but I just kinda stood there and waited patiently for 20 minutes without a peep from anyone. I’m not saying I won’t eat there again because I do love their salmon salad, however spending $60 a week at an establishment and having the workers response be a simple 🤷🏻♂️ did kinda leave a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully if you see this review you do give them a try because the food is good. My hopes are that management may see this and remedy the situation as to avoid losing more customers. The food diversity downtown is nice and 3 other restaurants have already failed at that exact spot in the past few years, so I would hate to see this end with a similar fate. I finally walked out and went to chipotle. I eat there 4 times a week minimum so what’s one more day. 🤷🏻♂️ Good luck y’all. I don’t own a restaurant so maybe I’m out of touch, but it really doesn’t seem like a great way to stay in business. Cheers 🍻 - From someone who just wants to eat before they head to the gym

I ordered the Roasted Vegetable Salad, subbing the dressing with mango peanut dressing. The dressing mixed with the blueberries made it taste like a peanut butter and. jelly sandwich. The salad was so good. I liked that the roasted vegetables were shredded. I also ate the curry soup which was a lot smaller size than I was expecting but it was so good. Service was quick, and the restaurant clean. The bathroom said to use the top lock to lock the door, but I couldn't reach it sitting in my wheelchair, so I'm not sure if I locked the door or not because I used the bottom lock. If the bottom lock doesn't work then this is something that needs to be fixed because not everyone is able to reach the higher lock and everyone deserves to feel safe using the bathroom.
