Do not trust this dealership to be fair or honest in any business dealing. After being told to come in, that they were interested in buying our car a gentleman named William along with Christian gave us an offer of about half what had been discussed prior to us driving to their dealership at their request. Not only was this a significant inconvenience (I am 8 months pregnant with a toddler) - they managed to turn on a service light during their “inspection.” These buyers are not above unscrupulous tactics. Do not trust them or waste your time.
I had a very disappointing experience with Murgado Automotive Group while attempting to purchase a used vehicle. Upon arrival, I initially worked with the sales manager Ray, who then passed me to another sales associate. The associate was polite, professional, and genuinely pleasant to work with, though it was clear that Ray remained heavily involved in the negotiation. From the moment I disclosed that I had my own financing, the tone of the interaction shifted noticeably. I was repeatedly pressured to use dealer financing and was told the price could only be reduced further if I financed through them. I was also repeatedly reminded that the dealership “has the option to decline outside financing,” which felt less like policy transparency and more like leverage being applied to steer me toward their loan products. At one point, during a discussion about pricing and financing, the manager explicitly stated that “we want to make money on every deal — you’re not in the business of fast money, we are.” While candid, this comment was concerning and reinforced the impression that maximizing dealer profit took priority over transparency or customer experience. Because it was Christmas week, I was told the vehicle would be held for me until Friday. During that time, I stayed in constant communication to finalize numbers with my bank. Despite this assurance, the vehicle was not held, and I was later informed it had been sold to another buyer — directly contradicting what had been promised. After Christmas, the advertised internet price dropped by $1,000, yet the dealership refused to honor or adjust to the updated online price in any revised buyer’s order. Instead, I was told I was “still getting a better deal,” though the numbers never reflected that claim. Additionally, the buyer’s order included a $3,995 dealership warranty that was described in the listing as being included and not an added charge. When questioned, the figures were repeatedly restructured in a way that offset the removal of add-ons by increasing other taxable amounts. The warranty itself appeared to be limited to Florida, which was not appropriate for my situation and was not clearly disclosed upfront. Overall, the experience reflected high-pressure financing tactics, conditional pricing, and a lack of transparency and follow-through. I came prepared, informed, and ready to purchase, yet my time was wasted and commitments were not honored. I strongly recommend future buyers do their homework, verify advertised pricing, question any conditional discounts tied to financing, and get all terms in writing before proceeding.
