It’s a bit tricky to find the location but the service was amazing and very easy processing.
People in the branch are just nice and great. As I made my reservation via an oversea platform, I had been considered a couple of times a foreigner thus asked for oversea driver license, which I didn't carry with me. Mickiy (I might be mispelling😅) had already helped me both times with the issue. In a recent experience, he spent time after the office was closed to assist me getting the car I needed. He is just superb. Last weekend my rental car had some technical problems that I called roadside assistance during my road trip. When I returned the car, the manager Anthony came to me and checked if I was OK. How thoughtful! He also told me that Mickiy was trying to reach me but no luck. I can't be more grateful for having car rental service by people like Anthony and Mickiy in my neighborhood.
Anthony is the absolute best to work with! He always makes it an enjoyable experience and makes sure we’re well taken care of. We’ve been renting from National for a while and always look forward to seeing him!
It was pretty busy when I went and seemed like only one person was working downstairs for Alamo/national. But he was hustling through people as fast as he could, so it wasn’t that long. Drop off was fine too, just the one lane entrance/exit is a bit cramped in a big car and I was lucky nobody was trying to go at the same time because backing up in that spiral would have been scary. Definitely smaller than an airport center but more convenient when you’re trying to escape the city. And unlike enterprise they actually had the car I reserved.
Thomas the branch manager and Jay were very friendly and helpful. They are efficient and do their job quickly and well. They have all kinds of cars, including nice luxury cars and they are maintained well so that you don’t get in a pickle when you’re driving. There are elevators going down to where the place is and it is nice and cool down here because it’s a basement office.
The more I think about my experience here, the more disappointed I get. I love National, I am a true loyal customer who doesn’t say any bad about it. I live in chicago and when I needed a rental to take me on a 3.5 hr trip, I was given a car with just over half a tank. I had to wait 30 minutes on the car while someone who came to the location after me took the car ahead of me for some reason with no explanation. I choose National for the following reasons: fast car selection process so I can leave asap, great customer service; most of all, a sense of safety and security in the vehicle I’m about to get in. This location disappointed me in all 3 of these reasons. Next time I need to take a trip like this, I’m not coming back here.
The selection of cars can be limited, but the staff is great, and this location is convenient to downtown. I can usually get in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Great location and I had a positive experience renting with them. They recognize your Emerald exec status and more often than not are very accommodating of your requests. Special mention to Aidan to always going that extra mile and providing 5 star service. He deserved the promotion he got. Hope he would be replaced by someone who can keep up the good work.
The folks at the LaSalle location are always great from the front desk to the parking deck, from vehicle pick up to drop off. They provide excellent service, have a great sense of humor, and are very efficient. I rent vehicles for field work multiple times a year, and I will be back to rent again this October thanks to their quality service.
National Car rental has been 10/10 for me as a regular vehicle renter. The staff at my location in Chicago are attentive, timely, and personable. The service has been so solid that I wouldn't consider looking at any other vendors. Great organization.
