PDX Coffee Club

My partner and I are visiting from Columbus, Ohio, and decided to go to PDX Coffee Club after breakfast and before going to the Saturday market. It did not disappoint. They’re a multi-roaster cafe featuring some of the best globally roasted coffees, including several local Portland roasters. They’re incredibly knowledgeable about the coffees they have on hand and offer a wide rotating selection of beans for purchase from roasters globally and locally. For the coffee, do yourself a favor and get a 2 in 2 with water (aka an italiano/long black). They allow you to choose which espresso you'd like. They had 2 options in a perfume misting bottle to aerate the coffee aroma to evaluate dry fragrance before choosing. The cappuccino was very balanced and delicious, and they don’t charge extra for alternative milks. The baristas are not only knowledgeable about coffee, but also very helpful and willing to provide recommendations for things going on around town, especially from a food and beverage perspective. I appreciated hearing their recommendations that aren't in the typical guides or recited over and over, but where they actually enjoy going the most. Finally, I'll give a slight caveat for accuracy, anyone looking for an aesthetic cafe, this won’t be up your alley. But if you're looking for a delicious cup of specialty coffee or specialty coffee beverages, then I highly recommend giving this a stop.

WOW! Cam & Harmony were the ray of sunshine I needed the Sunday morning I visited. They were very warm and kind. I particularly enjoyed their coffee knowledge! It was very informative without being portentous. It was so delightful to see Cam frolic and sing beverage orders! This is the kind of hospitality that you want to see. Keep doing what you do! I don’t have to speak on the coffee as it was DELICIOUS and complex. Will be back on my next visit to PDX!

I am visiting Portland for the weekend and we found PDX Coffee Club on a Sunday, something in walking distance of our hotel. The place looked really clean and inviting upon walking in. It’s located in the Lawrence, which appears to be a shared space for other small businesses and maybe a doc office? The ambience is nice, cool music and the tables offered were clean and modern. The avena latte sounded good to me but I let the barista know that I typically like lighter roasts and espressos so I wasn’t sure about ordering. The barista let me taste the house made syrup mixed with oat milk to give me an idea of the flavor, it was delicious so I ordered. But it do turn out to be a little stronger than I’m used to. Just as I was deciding to ask for a remake or just drink it, he walked over and asked how I felt about it. He was extremely gracious and willing to make me a new latte with half the amount of espresso. The staff here seem very knowledgeable about coffee and very kind to people who may not know much about it. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a coffee shop in Portland.

The baristas here are the nicest I’ve ever met! So kind, helpful, and conversational. The coffee and strawberry scone were SO good. Can’t recommend this place more.

Insane selection of beans if you're deep into coffee, especially true light roast, Nordic, natural process and co-ferments. Ironically, it's very hard to find coffee like this in Portland, despite it being a "coffee city". Most roasters say "light" but err on the side of medium or even med-dark. They currently have roasters like Ilse, Hydrangea, H&S, Dak, Heart, Proud Mary and Elevator and offer single origin espresso.

Friendly staff and AMAZING coffee! The coffee soda is insane and I highly recommend. Nothing was overly sweet which I appreciated. The employee also helped me find a good bag of coffee beans to bring home. Delicious place to stop for coffee while in Portland!

High quality coffee and tea here, with lovely, local baked goods. The team is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their offerings. I discovered a new tea that I like (Hojicha) made into their Avena Latte - perfection! Will make sure to visit this coffee shop again next time we're in Portland. Bottom-line: this place is ideal for coffee and tea aficionados looking to explore/discover something new each visit.

OMG !!!!!!! This coffee shop is absolutely AMAZING. I had the avena latte and even though I don’t usually do sweet or specialty lattes (I’m a black coffee drinker) I went with the baristas recommendation for popular drink. The coffee was so smooth and perfect for my taste. He also suggested the blackberry muffin which was tasty. Very quiet place near shopping. Plus they connect consumers with coffee producers and celebrate underrated voices throughout the coffee industry. I highly recommend!! 💗💗

Had a wonderful experience here! I got a matcha with plant based milk and was so happily surprised. A lot of times, matcha tastes bad and the consistency is way off - not here! They clearly know what they’re doing (big yay) and the taste was so good and it was so smooth, it brought a big smile to my face. The staff is not only very knowledgeable about each drink, they are also very friendly. I got my order to go, but they do have indoor seating available.

Staff was so friendly! I had the strawberry matcha scone that was vegan! I was so happy they had a vegan pastry and they don't charge extra for alternative milks. That always stands out! I got the Avena latte iced and it was 10/10 not to sweet and the coffee was perfectly smooth. I also tried the coffee soda, my sister got it and i was originally hesitant to get it but omg it was so refreshing and so so so good. The location was really cute too! A must try for everyone in the area.
