I’ve stopped going here because the second time I went I caught them profiling someone. Yes they be profiling and discriminating! They always be thinking black people are stealing or trying to sell stolen goods. So, I called and asked were they accepting bodysuit because I actually sell clothes, online store. I have some extra inventory still in plastic and on hanger from the wholesale person. They told me sure we’re accepting them. I drove from Midtown to this location when I typically go to Cordova. One chick checked me in and all of a sudden another chick walks up look at me straight profiling. You can’t judge people based off how they look etc. I just finished working out and running errands. She flipped my yellow paper Over after looking at me head to toe and wrote something. I leave go get some to eat come back oh give us a minute we’re looking at your items. We all can tell when something has been “looked at” my stuff was in same condition. On hangers and in plastic. We can’t accept this because of style. I said no you told me you were accepting bodysuits as long as they was BRAND NEW. I’ve been shopping with them since 2000 I know how it goes. If it’s brand new they will buy it. But this location so busy assuming all black people come in there and if they clothes don’t look like the goodwill stuff they use to, you are trying to sell stolen stuff. I’ve witnessed the weirdo that was Manager that worked there with all those horrible tatts and body piercing literally call police on black people for real. But I will take my behind back to the Southaven or Cordova location. They weren’t this bad when they was on Perkins Ext.
We love Plarto's! They have like new stylish clothing and shoes. Name brand clothes at a great price. Put in a little effort to go through thier rather large inventory and you can find some real good clothing some stuff still has the tags on it. My wife and I go to Plato's every Sunday just to see if we can find something great and we usually do. Got a very like new pair of AirMax 95's for 25 dollars yesterday.
I ❤ this Plato's location. Their racks are sometimes WAY too packed to see everything on them, and the store can be REALLY unorganized, but the variety of the clothes and accessories are perfect and the sales associates are always so nice and helpful.
I love Plato's but the clothing selection was not up to par per say. Shoes were dirty and the clothes were not worth looking at. Also the shoe size collection was either extremely small or extremely big.
Kayla was incredibly helpful, polite, and professional.. I arrived at the store at 7:28pm and was informed that they weren't able to accept any new potential buys due to being short staffed and a lack of someone to look through them.. after I explained I lived 45 minutes away and drove her just for this, she took it upon herself to go through the item I brought in to try and sell. The other girl continued to clean, count down the registers and cash customers out.. I was extremely impressed with miss Kayla and her outstanding customer service.. I am a manager in the customer service industry and felt the need to give her a glowing review, which i very rarely do for anyone.. AGAIN, THANK YOU MISS KAYLA FOR BEING SO CURTIOUS!!
Man, I understand I'm not going to come out with hundreds of dollars for my items, but 15 pairs of Levi's should get me more than $5 bucks. It's not ever worth the hassle, for me.
This is a problem i have with all playto's. They never want to take all of your items, but some of the things i see in the store make me go waaahhh? But every now and again you can find something nice in there at a cool price.
Just moved here. Never heard of this place before. Stopped by to check it out. Nice and clean place. Great selections. Friendly staff. I will be back. 🙂
They are extremely picky..... I had some great stuff... better than what I seen on the shelf and they didn't even make an offer.... I think they need to reevaluate there policy on what and how they choose...
I casually went here just for funsies and immediately found skinny pants and shoes that fit me perfectly! I'm so very happy that I wandered here lol nice atmosphere, nice tunes on the radio, good, friendly employees too. 👍👍
