You don’t have a choice on your power company but this one sucks with billing. We just got a bill that was doubled because they don’t do billing cycles correctly and they don’t inform you of it either An entire other bill significantly more than we would pay in the summer for Another nail in the coffin of not ever living in wa state again ✌🏽
8 hours and counting of unexplained outage. No storms, no ice, no wind, daytime should have plenty of crews available to address the problem. That the system has so little redundancy is appalling as an engineer. We'll look to install solar, small turbines, and a generator in the future, if these outages continue to increase in frequency as they have in recent years. Will also advocate for the city to buy them out and make it public like City Light and Tacoma Power. Auburn Public Works would manage it much better.
The PSE customer service folks are quick and kind in fixing the natural gas issue. I gave a call 8:30AM in the morning, Stacey and Payton were very helpful in sending a support crew. The support crew gentleman arrived at 10:20AM. He is very polite and efficient, the entire fix is done under 10 minutes! I really appreciate the efficiency and effectiveness of PSE!
What a terrible company multiple day outages over a tiny little windstorm. You should take a page out of Florida’s book. They have category five hurricanes in that and the powers on almost instantaneously.
WORST customer service I have ever experienced. They say they send emails that are never recieved. then their "techs" are rude and only care about leaving. The tech that came to my house today basically said it's not his problem and said hes almost off then left. not willing to wait 2 minutes. Customer service is a joke and cant help with anything and refused to let me speak with a manager or suporvisor. And could only keep repeating the same stupid script over and over. they might as well outsource to Comcast customer service because they are no better. Too bad there is literally no other option.
PSE would not tell the truth if a lie would suffice. I have been without power for two days, and the only update I get is that there is a crew assigned. Assigned to do what? Obviously not to restore power. My work request is the oldest on their docket by a long way. I’m on a well, so I also do not have water. My guess is that the crew assigned to do the work is at a bar, or a donut shop. Customers are not important to PSE.
They called me 4 times today (and every other day this week) EVERYTIME except once did I answer and nobody said anything but one woman who had a very strong accent and a hard time assisting. She advised she’d get me to customer service (FAIL) but that’s fine I was able to call back and get customer service (she was very pleasant just very bad communication) so I finally get customer service. The man advised per the situation he needed to get me to the correct department. This man did not say what dept and just transferred to the main queue (he didn’t know where to send me apparently) so I called back the woman wasn’t paying attention gave her my address twice and she asked again so I asked for a supervisor. She said there wasn’t one, put me on hold and then came back and said there wasn’t one available. So I asked if she’d get me to whatever the correct department was for the situation. He exact words we’re “ if you’d like assistance you can disconnect and call back and get another representative that can assist you.” WHAAAAAT????? (My husbands face was priceless) I just couldn’t even believe that. I laughed and hung up this is a joke of a business and customer service. I’d probably have better luck fixing it myself online if it’s possible.
Traveling? Remember to pay your bill before leaving the country, PSE blocks all out-of-country access to the website as a supposed "security measure", although it can be easily circumvented by a VPN.
Five days since the storm. Still can’t figure out how to connect all customers back to power. Nice job, you really know how to take care of your customers.
