I read all the glowing reviews and was ready to give this shop a try at fixing the AC system on my car. Upon arriving and describing the hot AC system operation, I was told that the cost to provide an estimate would be $180 non-refundable (could be credited towards repairs). I would have paid $30 or even $50 (free would be better), but that non-refundable $180 estimate fee was a Non-Starter. I fully respect their time and expertise and they can charge whatever they want, but that's not for me. I took it down the road to the dedicated auto-AC place on 32nd & 8th St. They looked at it for free and gave a quote, which was approved and they had the car fixed the same day. I don't know if Tony's price would have been higher or lower, but I did not like the feeling when I left their shop. I was hoping I had found my forever mechanics that I could happily recommend, but I am still looking.

Had an oil change done recently, and the service was phenomenal. They did a courtesy estimate for me and found all the things wrong with my vehicle. I like to give honest reviews, and at first this mechanic seemed very knowledgeable, professional, and personable. They have strong customer service skills and know how to communicate confidently, which initially made me trust their judgment. However, after gaining more experience and speaking with other mechanics, I started to realize there is a difference between someone who strictly follows diagnostic codes and someone who truly understands how to diagnose vehicles beyond the surface level. A code is not always the exact problem. It is often a reference point that tells you where to begin looking. For example, if you tell a doctor you do not feel well, that does not automatically tell them the exact issue. If you say your stomach hurts, that simply gives them an area to investigate further. Cars work similarly. Sometimes another issue is triggering the code, and a good mechanic understands how to investigate the root cause instead of immediately replacing everything connected to that code. Another thing I learned while mechanic shopping is that a real mechanic also understands the human side of car ownership. Most people cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars all at once. A trustworthy mechanic prioritizes repairs realistically, explains what is urgent, what can wait, and helps you stay safely on the road while working within your budget. In my experience here, I personally did not feel that approach. Do I recommend this mechanic? In my opinion, no. But everyone is free to make their own assessment and experience.

I took my car here recently for a valve leak that was previously diagnosed elsewhere, the price I was given at Tony’s was half the price for the same job! They did a full diagnosis and recommended some other things to me as well, everything was done in a timely manner and communication was amazing! Jackie was very informational and helpful through the whole experience making it stressless. I’ll definitely be returning for any future work I need on any of my vehicles.

I took my Mercedes car that was making some noises and I received very good support and service from Jackie and the team. They are friendly and it was a pleasure to meet with the owner, he is such a good knowledgeable guy and they are really helpful. From buying the spear parts to fixing the issue in short time and changing my tires also as it wasn’t good with good price. As there was an additional issue, they offered to fix it at no labor cost.
