Splitting time between Toronto and NYC, I needed a reliable GC to renovate my Manhattan property without having to be there and personally oversee the project. The team was communicative, accommodative and easy to work with throughout the process. There were regular check-ins on the subcontractors with WVGC final touches from beginning to end (very appreciated!).
I will use this company for all of my contracting needs from now on. They are super thorough when it comes to explaining how certain jobs and services work so you know exactly what going’s on from the beginning of the project to the very end. They were punctual, reliable and professional.
I've loved working with West Village. James and Tal are very good at what they do and communcation is always their top priority (which is hard to find in this industry). I will certainly hope to work with them again on future project.
The best. I've worked with a handful of GC companies in the Northeast and no one compares to West Village. If you're in Manhattan and looking for the best renovator/remodeling contractor, look no further.
When I first met James I didn't know how to take him. He was one of 4 contractors I had come through my new co-op in Tribeca. Everyone else nodded their heads and agreed with what I was showing them then quoted on the job. James walked in, I showed him what I was going to do and he started asking really probing questions. He asked me what my priorities are, why I was doing what I was doing and then asked if he could make some suggestions. I was curious so I let him speak. I expected that he was going to up-sell me, but he stared making suggestions to decrease the scope of work and not increase it! He was interested in me getting value from what I was doing and clearly he had a great deal of experience to draw from. James doesn't 'look like a contractor' when you meet him. He doesn't act like the typical contractor either. He's polished and when he meets with you he's early. His whole team shows up early for meetings! It's such a refreshing change to the industry. I'm a developer and I hired James for my own apartment renovation, I'm so glad that I did. You won't be disappointed if you do.
Worthy of 10-stars! In the world of NYC renovations, it felt like everyone was a crook and I was constantly getting advantage of in timeline and final cost. West Village changed my perception and put me at ease, very quickly. I cannot recommend them highly enough, from beginning to end, they are a true dream come true.
We used West Village to reconstruct our apt due to flood damage. If one is unfortunate as I was, look no where but West Village. They are a class act; Our apt was brought back to even better shape within budget and on time. Everyone in the team took pride in their work and the process was clearly defined and executed within scope as originally planned.
West Village GC was incredibly professional, efficient, friendly and high quality. I highly recommend them for any construction you may need.
