I still cannot believe how unkind the staff at this store was toward us. We were exceptionally kind and polite, and really taken aback by staff that behaved in such a rude and aggressive manner. We will not ever do business with this location again. Corporate take note, the employees at this store are getting some poor reviews and that doesn’t bode well for keeping this location open. We love Williams Sonoma but will not tolerate this kind of behavior and will not do business with any store location where employees are allowed to mistreat customers with no apparent repercussion.
Very poor experience. Walked in, a store employee was chatting with a friend at the counter, he ignored us, we walked around the store for about 10 min, we finally found a guy that was the stock person and asked him for help. Then the manager came out and we explained that we had to track someone down for help. She was great, she apologized. When we left the store the employee that was chatting was still chatting and still didn’t say a word to us. There are options, I can purchase online and or go to the Williams Sonoma in Washington Square. I won’t be going back to the Portland store.
Super friendly salesperson today. Was very kind to go and look for a product I was wanting but they were out of. Made me want to shop there more. I did get a bottle of this vampire punch.
Fantastic espresso machine shopping experience! Customer service was exceptional- we were allowed to take our time, trying everything we wanted to, and they helped us make sure we were getting what we wanted for the best price possible.
I got a great All Clad set for my bday, and it had a few pieced I didn't need, so I exchanged it and one of the staff helped me get what I needed ordered from the website. That order happened on Dec 28th of last year, and I STILL don't have my 2 pans. I am consistently getting notifications that it will just be another 2 weeks. I didn't learn my lesson and I ordered an ice cream maker from these guys. This one showed up, but it had a huge dent, so I returned it on January 27th. Despite showing they have 167 in stock, they still haven't managed to send me one, saying it's backordered. Moral of the story, don't buy anything from these guys if you need it in a timely fashion.
The Williams Sonoma name is trash. They’re selling you low quality dreck masquerading as high quality. Any simple item you get only has a 30 day return policy. Target and Home Depot is better than this brand. Don’t buy here.
Terrible experience. I went in to shop for a secret Santa gift and the staff were incredibly hostile. I was given side eyes and was definitely being followed in the store. I was asked five times within minutes of each other if I “knew what I was looking for”. After the fifth employee I left. It was clear they didn’t want me in the store - or that they felt like I didn’t belong. Won’t be shopping here again. Corporate, take note of the low star reviews here.
My partner and I had a lovely experience at the store. We were assisted by Summer, who was very helpful and patient. As part of a demo, she also let me make a Flat White out of their new Breville machine.
I called WS in Portland, OR on 12th & NW Davis and spoke to Luis. I am looking specifically for 3.5 quart and 5 quart Braiser’s. Luis kept referring to a Dutch Oven and Oval DO and I let him know it’s a Braiser I want…in WHITE. He had to check with someone else and call me back on my phone (so he had my phone number) and said he had two 3.5 quart braisers in white I could come see. We discussed white a few times. I asked if he could take a picture and send it to me because I’m quite picky and he said no, because employees can’t divulge their personal numbers. I had other employees do this for me in the past with no problem at WS, but fair enough. WS should have a company phone to do this with! I let him know I had to drive 30 minutes to check it out. So my husband and I drove 30 minutes there and 30 back only to get there and find the color was matte COTTON. I am so mad right now! I told him I was educating him that cotton is not white, white is white. Luis was quite rude on the phone talking over me as well. I wouldn’t recommend this store.
I've been to this Williams-Sonoma occasion many times, occasionally to browse, but usually shopping with a specific item in mind. My spouse recently told me about a limited edition barware set he saw there, so I checked WS online and it wasn't available to order. I called the Pearl location and the very nice staff member confirmed that they had everything I wanted in stock and that she'd set it aside for me. The next day, I did some additional shopping there and found several other items, which I purchased along with the hold items. A great experience all the way around. When I went in before Thanksgiving, they quickly helped me find the All Clad potato ricer I wanted. This week I went in looking for a specific paper towel holder and was in and out of the store within ten minutes. Sure, the layout is weird and crowded, but the selection and staff are fantastic!
