I enjoyed this place. I got the espresso martini which was good, strong. I also got the gougere and it was good, can get a bit heavy. I also got the chickpea panisse and it was so good. I loved the seasoning on top of it. The broccoli was really good wish it was warmer. The eggplant sauce was amazing. The chocolate pot creme was decent, the mousse on top was not enjoyable but the chocolate part was really good. Service was fine. I sat at the counter watching the chefs. It was cool.

Came here right at 8:00am. I wasn’t sure if we needed a reservation, you do not for a Friday morning we were seated right away. Good service, based on reviews we ordered the Rittenhouse breakfast. I deviated and did not get the cornmeal pancakes and instead the French omelette. Overall good food, it didn’t wow us. If we come back perhaps we will try for lunch or dinner and see if it lives up to the hype. I’m glad we got to try the breakfast but it felt like a one and done kinda deal for us.

Came here for dinner for the first time today. Our server was amazing really friendly and attentive. During the entire meal we had multiple servers serving us but the main one came by to check on us quite often to make sure everything was fine. All the food was really flavourful and we enjoyed every dishes. Since during my reservation I indicated it was my birthday so they brought out a lit candle on a plate. I’m Chinese so based on our culture it’s not lucky to put a lit candle on a plate because that’s when we pay our respects to our deceased ancestors we would light candles and place them on a small plate and incense. So just a thought perhaps put the lit candle on the dessert or throw a couple pieces of fruits onto the plate with a lit candle. Overall it was a great meal and I would definitely come back.

A small American bistro near Rittenhouse square, a.kitchen+bar was a great option for lunch in the city. The menu consists of smallish (not as small as you would think) appetizers, entrees and sandwiches plates, all well thought and prepared. We ordered a lightly grilled tuna with green tomato gazpacho and fried green tomatoes, the omelette and the ricotta gnuddi and it was all delicious. A great natural wine and craft beer selection complements the menu’

Food: incredible food, chiefs were extremely talented and kind. Smoked garlic gnocchi and the bluefin was top notch. Unlike anything we’ve had. Service: Good service. Sitting at the chefs bar, it was a very nice touch that the chefs would ask how our evening and meals were, especially with very little break time they have preparing food! Atmosphere: We were celebrating an anniversary and chose to sit at the chefs bar. A very cool experience seeing the chefs cook and prepare everyone’s food in the restaurant. Would recommend these seats every day. Be mindful the kitchen is hot and the residual heat does make it was nicely to the bar, would recommend dressing light. (Reservation for 2, Tuesday May 26th)

As one of Philadelphia’s top 50 restaurants, it was great to get the opportunity to dine here. It started off strong with the crispy oyster mushrooms. These were followed by cheese filled puffs gougeres. My octopus and bacon lardons were slightly overcooked in my opinion. My branzino was excellent with the crispiest skins I have ever had. My friend had the famous burger and thought it was just okay (missing something). Service was excellent and our seating was good! Overall I would say a very good but surprisingly not excellent!

I had the Night Country cocktail and the Gem Salad. The salad dressing was an oil based lime dressing that was exceptional. The salad was simple but really good. The cocktail was very tasty too and had a big square ice cube in the middle. The total was ~$45 with a tip. I went about 6:30 and sat at the bar. It was a darker space and the music was kind of loud but it was definitely a nice visit. The food menu looked like it had a nice selection of light dishes.

I went for brunch and tried the chicken sandwich and for the cocktails I tried the "Rye Guy Says" (decent if you like a bitter drink) and my favorite was "The Battle Goes Well".

Super cute atmosphere. Cozy lights. It was busy but surprisingly not too loud so you could have a nice conversation. I had the rittenhouse breakfast. My parents both had the omelette. We all had mild bad reactions to it. Way too much garlic. We also tried to the chickpea thing … I wasn’t as much of a fan. It was very vinegar-y / overly salty. The staff was friendly and informative. Our waiter, a pleasant young man who looked a bit Mumford and sons-esque whose name I unfortunately missed, gave extremely in depth explanations of the dishes when asked about them. Very detailed. The food did take a while ( around 40 mins post ordering ) so maybe give it a miss if you’re in a rush. They also, unfortunately, lack many hot beverages apart from standard coffee. This is only really relevant considering it was 31 degrees Fahrenheit when I went. Lovely, might not go again. A bit pricey.

First timer here and really enjoyed dining here. The ambiance is very nice - dim light but not too dark. The food there was very good - good for sharing a few dishes. I particularly enjoyed the gougères and the bavette steak. Flavors as well as cooking was very good. The gnocchi dish was a bit on the heavier side but also very good. For dessert, the chocolate tahini cake was great. Service was also good - waitress was very pleasant.
