It has the charm of a traditional Italian café while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. The coffee is consistently excellent, whether you're enjoying an espresso, cappuccino, or latte. Everything is made with care, and you can really taste the quality. Their selection of Italian pastries, especially the cannoli and sfogliatelle, is fantastic and pairs perfectly with any drink. They also offer tasty paninis! What really makes Anthony's stand out is the friendly staff and authentic neighborhood feel. Everyone is welcoming, and the service is always quick without feeling rushed. Sitting outside with a coffee while taking in the energy of the Italian Market is a great way to spend part of your day. Highly recommend!
Anthony’s Italian Coffee & Chocolate House is a great little spot right in the heart of the Italian Market in South Philly. The atmosphere has a warm, authentic vibe that makes it a fun place to stop and relax. My kids especially love coming here for the gelato, and it’s become one of our favorite family treats when we’re in the area. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, dessert, or just soaking in the neighborhood energy, Anthony’s is definitely worth a visit.
2026 May. Had lunch and coffee here. Situated right in the heart of the Italian Market area of Philadelphia, the atmosphere is fun and lively with the market all around you. Small easy to navigate menu and affordable prices. Lady was very friendly who served us. Great Italian place. Great chocolates too!

Anthony’s Italian coffee & chocolate house is some of the best coffee and pastries in Philadelphia. It’s located in the heart of the Italian market on 9th Street. The cappuccino is always made to perfection, and their cannoli’s are fresh and flavorful. Plenty of seating in the dining area, or you can lounge out front. The prices are very reasonable as well.
This is good Italian cafe. This is just located in Main Street of Italian Market. The atmosphere is just being in Italia! You can enjoy good Italian desserts with good prices. And I could have delicious coffee, too. You can have these desserts here or to go! In addition to good desserts there are lunch menu. I didn’t order it but O find the menu. I was surprised the price. The prices are under $10. So I will come back again to have good lunch here!!
I like this place, a lot of options for candies and pretzel. We got pretzel and really good coffee, but smoothies was not that great. It was very icy and you can’t even drink it.
We visited Anthony's for breakfast recently and loved it! First, their coffee is outstanding! Just visiting them for that is enough. We also got the Gavone breakfast sandwich on few occasions and it's been awesome every time. The folks working here are very nice and upbeat every time we've visited. We also recently ordered chocolate covered pretzels from them to bring to a tailgate. The process of ordering online was easy. I also requested in the "notes" section that I would love some team colors incorporated into the toppings and they were able to accommodate that! These treats were very much enjoyed by everyone at our tailgate. We will be back for breakfast as well as chocolate treats again in the future for sure.
Anthony’s is a great place for coffee, gelato and any dessert! Excellent quality, you’ll spend a little more but you get what you pay for. Great service too!
