BEWARE "CHART SWAP" IS OVERPRICED & DIFFICULT TO DEAL WITH. Most of the time I do not get the over priced records. One to 2 pages of records can cost $59. I have pointed out to them numerous times the missing information and refusal to refund my money. Is the best way to define this company. "Fraudulent business dealing practices" Knowingly executes false representation of medical facility's. that do not utilize their over-priced services. Refusal to refund the $59 fee when they are unable to fulfill the requested record.
Chartswap allows the customer to send and receive messages with an actual person and the response time is quick. Other companies such as Ciox do not give you this access. Chartswap also allows a request to be resubmitted and updated if necessary unlike other companies that require an entirely new request and fee. Chartswap provides an explanation if there is a problem with the request unlike other companies. It is helpful efficient to communicate with actual representatives. This company is superior to the others.
I cannot say enough good things about the folks at ChartSwap. We have now worked with them for two years and their platform has allowed our company to take a mammoth project, which was labor intensive, costly and not at all satisfactory for our customer to a well oiled, purring engine! I would never hesitate to recommend this company for their great product, more than reasonable rates, streamlined processes that allows us to process requests fairly and consistently and a team that is supportive, responsive and fair to both the provider and the requester alike. My only reservation is why did it take us so long!!!!
I tell people in the office - When you are satisfied with the results, let them know they are doing a great job - positive enforcement is great to hear always, in addition, if you need help with something, ask you will never know until you ask. Everyday is a learning experience, nothing is the same, it is how you view the day. When you wake up in the morning you decide how your day will go - good-great or ugh... we all have our low days, but that doesn't mean you have to infect the world with it, right, so be the positive and enjoy. Thanks you, you guys are great!
I use this portal on a daily basis. The turnaround time is great. I also enjoy the customer service when I have a problem. Although I have spoken with a few of the reps, my favorite is Jewell (sp). She is certainly a jewel.
Absolutely love this company!!!! I do not want to ever consider records requesting without first checking on chartswap as they are growing by leaps and bounds and it makes the life of a paralegal so much better. Muwah :)
Ciox could NEVER... not like ChartSwap. It's unfortunate that Datavant bought them out. I'm fully expecting it to nose dive.
It is so easy to request on the dashboard. They always send an invoice to pay very quickly, and the records or bills are uploaded in a timely manner.
another 3rd party records custodian. they bill as much as possible and often will screw up the requests. to all folks making a request, be sure to use a Hitech HIPAA form instead of a standard HIPAA or else they will charge you an insane amount. a greasy practice *edit* in response to the below, despite all the fluff language provided they are still not a provider yet hold records until payment is collected. by definition, a 3rd party records custodian whose business model is to charge as much as possible (per OCGA 31-33-3(a)) to the patient or authorized reps for production of records.
