Unfair Towed Storage Fee: We were charged a $50 storage fee, equivalent to $25 storage fee*2 days, despite redeeming our car within an hour of it being towed. We believe this fee is unfair and request the immediate waiver of the $50 storage fee.

My boyfriends car was towed and the staff were quick and responsive over the phone and in person. Everyone was professional. The only issue is finding this place on foot was a nightmare. Take an uber for sure.

Just go in and talk nice to them. They deal with everyone in bad moods daily. Go pay at the cashier. Take your little slip to security. He'll/she'll let the owner go and no one else. Take your car and leave. Congratulations. Stop crying and giving bad reviews. I'm sure they have a worse job than you. PARK IN CORRECT LOCATIONS AND DESIGNATED TIMES NEXT TIME.

Best way to get there, unless your cab driver knows precisely where it is, is to drop off at the corner of Columbus and Wacker (see red arrow in attached map grab) where there is a tourist booth and take the flight of stairs going to the lower level where the river sidewalk is. Then walk in the direction of the lake until you see a green tarp and a hole in the fence on the right. The entrance to the pound is hidden in there. Don't expect any signage. If in doubt call the phone number and beg for directions from whoever answers. Do not under any circumstances let the cab driver drop you off at any signage that says auto pound if you are not actually at the pound ie you see the box that serves as office, and a parking lot full of cars. There are weird ancient signs around lower wacker that say pound and are nowhere near it. If you drop off and try to walk around this subterranean hell, then God help you in the winter.. It's a totally awful and ghetto place, but the people are professional and as nice as you can expect them to be. One lady stayed on the phone with me till I found the place. I got my car out in minutes. Don't give them a hard time they are just doing a job and they didn't make the policies. Good luck.

The people I had to deal with this past Saturday 10.13.2018 were the meanest nastiest people I have ever come to encounter. One was a heavy set woman with a big curly wig that was set too far back on her head, the other was a lady named Dee dee and there was a man who I believe was the man I spoke on the phone with earlier named Kenny. These people were over the top disgusting rude and loved every minute of giving me the hardest time . I had to call the police to help me get my car. When we went back in there the entire staff I had dealt with earlier were gone. I eventually got my car back but the service, those people from that morning shift....shameful. They need to be fired .

Payed to park by the planetarium along with several other people & came back within 15 minutes to my car & several other peoples cars being towed. While waiting to pay, I heard an employee answering the phone & telling people to hold even though he wasn’t doing anything & then joking with his coworkers about putting people on hold. I won’t go back to the city for anything in the near future, there’s nothing there that’s worth dealing with these people. Btw after you pay $175 to get your car out don’t forget about the $100 ticket waiting on your windshield.

Don’t bother trying to reason with them, even with the same last name and Home address as the owner I required a notarized letter or the owner present. If you are not the owner, you need to bring cash - $170 if your vehicle was towed that day. No ATM on-site, closest Chase bank is .3 Miles south on Ohio. Not a debit card, not a credit card, bring cash. You do have the right to grab your personal belongings from the vehicle. If you’re going to need to leave it there overnight (for which you will incur a $20 daily fee), I highly recommend taking anything remotely valuable with you. They assume no liability and your things will get stolen. Avoid having to deal with this place at all costs. -edit- back 1 year later, thank you Chicago for the New Year's Gift. Still $170.

If you are a big fan of the walking dead and enjoy being scared you have come to the right place. This secret location has very little lighting. No signs posted in a normal spot and gps goes dead here. Heaven forbid you are a tourist or woman attempting to walk here at night. Junkies and mentally ill men litter this area and will demand money. And help will be no where . tow is about 175$ no counting what the parking ticket is. Ticket all average about 100 -200. The staff are from a private firm and are not city workers they are paid very little. Double check the inside of your vehicle if it is there over nite mystery break in happen and nobody seem to know anything. Make police report on scene and ask for supervisor. Tow driver routinely break into cars before they are dropped off. They can get into car in seconds with no damage. Welcome to chicago😈

If you end up in Chicago hell do yourself a favor and take a cab here. It is impossible to find (3 level of Lower Wacker). Make sure you have Cash or Credit, your valid license, the registration (in car) must match your name and address on your license. For most normal cars your experience will only cost your $270 ($100 for the ticket and $170 for the service of towing). You'll also experience the most friendly and fastest city workers in Chicago. Plan on hiking 1+ mile since your be going back and for to your car which is parked in the furthest possible spot in the top lot even though there are plenty of spots near the trailer. Thanks for the experience. I hope my donation can be used for better signage to find and exit hell.

I'm here today so glad to make it out alive. Location is pretty hard to find. It's actually in lower-lower Wacker. Not just Lower Wacker. That's right, it's two levels down from the surface where there is practically zero moving traffic. It also does not feel safe whatsoever. I'm surprised there were no anarchist factions down there to confront me. I feel bad for the employees that have to work there. Employees aren't customer service experts but they get the job done which is to handle the due tow bill and vehicle recovery and not the parking citation itself - a separate expense - while working in a crummy little trailer office in a very dingy dungeon. Why anybody would attempt to negotiate their parking citation here is beyond me. It's an auto pound for the city. Not the parking citation office. I think it would help if they thoroughly explained that in a recording just before you speak to the representative on the phone - also post a large sign in the parking lot explaining it. It would mitigate the tenant's annoyances with people constantly wasting their breath saying they were wrongfully towed.
