Service was initially good until I asked for the check. Bartender put 3 other people’s order on my tab. When I pointed it out, he said “can you just ask them to Venmo you.” I said I don’t know who got what. These were work colleagues and we came out for happy hour. Bartender then forcibly grabbed the check from me after I told him it was fine and I would figure it out. When he came back with the separate checks, he explained that he assumed my colleagues were on my tab since no one else put a card down. The issue here is that the bartender never asked the other people for a card, never asked me if the other people were on my tab, and just assumed. I understanding splitting checks is annoying but you have to at least ask if each customer wants to start a tab. Plus my colleagues all came at different times, it made no sense. Venmoing would’ve been fine but blaming the customer and giving attitude was not okay with me.

I was part of a large Meetup group that needed to switch venues very last minute. The staff of City Tap were able to accommodate our group (about 60-70 in total) on a Wednesday night with ease. Connor, our main bar tender, was such a gem of a human! His humor and friendly vibes were well received among the group. This was the first time I had been in this space. Ordered the Brussels sprouts with pomegranate seeds was delicious! Will be ordering that often, for sure.

A nice spot for food and drinks after work. The live music was loud enough to hamper meaningful conversation in a large group, but the musician was skilled. The service lacked attention to detail, but everything worked out in the end. All the dishes I sampled, including the elote dip, the pretzels, and the artichoke dip, were delicious. The beer selection was thorough and impressive, even if I didn't love my slightly spicy pumpkin beer. Small details took away from the experience, but I would certainly go back again and hopefully experience the place without live music.

this place would be great if the service wasn't awful like most of the reviews say. was with a large group for a party reservation on a half-empty saturday night. our server seemed to purposefully take one drink order at a time and she would run away before another person could talk. i saw her later in the night standing at the bar watching the college football games while our group was still waiting to order food and more drinks. we eventually ordered straight from the bartenders, who were still friendly despite being busy. great pizza tho...

Early dinner with the family after visiting the Franklin Institute. Had been here previously and seemed like a good place for pub grub. It's also a nice, big place with spread out seating, and our server was very pleasant. The food today, however, was not good at all. The meals came out immediately because I don't think anything was cooked fresh to order. Don't plan to go back.

There was a pop up going on. Sat at bar. Two people behind bar were having personal conversation and it took a few minutes to be acknowledged. Once they woke up it went OK. 30 plus taps with a lot of local beers. Had a veggie burger. Fries were crispy and good. Bathrooms were individual rooms for each commmode and a public wash area.

Game days are so much better here—the craft beer selection is huge and the food is always spot on. The big screens make it the ultimate hangout for sports fans.
