Went for brunch on Sunday and couldn't resist the shrimp and grits. My mother in law got pancakes with her frittata and ate the whole thing...she never does. Highly recommend for a good bite.
Tonight I came in for a late casual dinner. The waiter asked if I was allergic to anything and I advised that I was to beets. He mentioned that he would note it on the order. When the order arrived the kitchen had added beets. I took a bite before realizing it, and then I saw that there were beets in the dish. We asked to speak with the manager, she apologized and advised us that there was a cook in the kitchen that didn’t speak English and that was the reason for the error. For me this isn’t an issue of having someone in the kitchen that speaks another language, this is an issue of protocol. The chef and a manger on duty being aware of an allergy on a table, the chef or food runner seeing the dish and making sure it looks correct and that nothing looks out of place. Sadly we won’t be back, I hope steps are put in place so this doesn’t occur to anyone else. We did ask to leave as I began to have a reaction.
The hot honey chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing and I will 100000% drive all the way from NJ to eat it again. The fries were crispy but unseasoned and eh but the chicken sandwich was amazingggggggg!!
Thank you to an amazing waitstaff and manager. We are in from Chicago and felt so welcomed and the food was delicious. Highly recommend if visiting from a far or live close by. Special thanks for our first round of drinks tonight.☺️
We have been visiting from Dallas for the last 5 days and this is by far the best place we've eaten in Philly! Great location, great service, great environment! If we were here longer, we'd definitely come back. I got a Philly cheesesteak earlier in the visit from Reading Terminal and it doesn't hold a candle to the cheesesteak I got here. A must visit! Steve was our server and he was excellent! He made us love Philly even more!
In town for our sports medicine convention This was the site picked by myself and others for our alumni and friends party for Missouri Valley college athletic training department. We had nice gentleman bartender the got us primed. He was a fit blonde gentleman that crafted my wife a drink from her acquired taste for booze. Thank you!!! The host was super friendly and got us taken care of - dark hair and easy to chat with. Sydney our server was fantastic! The vibes and atmosphere was fun. The world cup games on...was easy to see from our location. The bar staff kept our beverages flowing. I was on full all night. The kitchen crushed it. Food was tasty. Went there a few days ago and will not be back. The service at the bar was awful and it wasn’t busy. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. Thumbs down. The food is ALWAYS good! 😊
