This CVS is just okay. It seems to be smaller and lacks much of the diverse merchandise in most CVS locations. They also dislike running a human register and push patrons to use one of the two self checkouts. Also many everyday items are behind glass requiring you to wait for assistance including ice cream and frozen foods. The store is very clean and seems to have an overabundance of staff to assist.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a CVS! The store associates were all kind and patient. Glenn, in particular, was amazing, gracious and so very kind. Truly went above and beyond! He’s an amazing asset to the CVS team.

The doctor’s prescription always delayed. The staffs were not friendly . There are not too many items to choose.

This pharmacy left my doctor and myself in the dark for nearly 2 weeks because they did not communicate that the insurance declined the Rx based on how it was written. My doctor tried to rewrite the Rx a few times, and when they tried to call the pharmacy, they were placed on hold for ~1 hour and never got guidance. It was only when I interjected that the issue was resolved. However, I am concerned that patients who aren’t able to speak English or otherwise not health literate would go without their prescription. I felt that the pharmacy manager had very little empathy or agency to help and feel sorry for the general community for a terrible pharmacy

Pharmacist was incompetent. Told me she doesn’t handle insurance and barely spoke English. Lazy workers who are afraid to help when there is a long queue.

Being a pharmacist is a tough job and Mr Glenn Hing from 701 Van Ness is simply wonderful. Professional and courteous. I witnessed him diffusing difficult situation with humor and respect. I count my blessings that I have a professional in my neighborhood who also shows the younger staff that it’s possible to keep one’s cool under pressure! Watch him do his thing. An example to follow. You are awesome Glenn.

This CVS pharmacy & its pharmacists have been incredibly helpful. I have been able to get a specific medication here that other CVS in the Bay Area have been unable to fill. I’m so grateful for their ongoing fulfillment of this prescription. The pharmacist is always so friendly & remembers me by name every time. It is such a pleasure to find such amazing customer service. I forgot my wallet last week & couldn’t get my Apple Pay to work, Felipe paid my co-pay! Wow, so wonderful. I will always cherish this CVS pharmacy

Very slow prescription pickup in the afternoons (20-30 min), but I guess that's just how it goes in downtown SF. They also sometimes take up to 24 hours to fill a prescription after it's sent over by my doctor. I feel like this could be faster but what do I know about running a pharmacy.

In the rearrangement of the store they've attempted to add a u-curve "impulse buy" section to the center, stocked with essentials, but with no logical arrangement or relation between products. An arrangement like this is more reminiscent a perseus's attempts to find the Minotaur than an establishment where you might be able to purchase deodorant
