This company went above and beyond any expectations we had. My son used Elemental of Portland Oregon for his system and as a licensed electrician was particularly impressed with their work. So we reached out for a bid and compared them to other vendors here in Bend. They quoted the latest panel technology and were more competitive than any other company using the best available equipment. What was most impressive is that they did exactly what they said they would do. On time on budget and with the highest professional quality of work. Even the City of Bend Electrical Inspector said he had not experienced this level of quality in recent inspections. While it is late for home owners to take advantage of the solar tax credits which is unfortunate, this is the company you should choose to avoid any frustration with completing a solar project. It is complex at best and this company knows what they are doing. An important aspect is that they don’t use contractors to do install. Everyone on the job was an employee with customer service and satisfaction as job one. Don’t hesitate to contact this company!!! Today especially you get what you pay for. But in my case Elemental of Portland was the most competitive, using the best equipment and ultimate customer service company I could have contacted with.

Elemental recently installed our solar panels and two Powerwall 3s in Portland. We were very pleased with their team – professional, knowledgeable, and highly responsive throughout the project. A standout moment was their handling of a faulty Powerwall (a factory issue); Elemental addressed it immediately and replaced the unit very quickly, putting us back on track. Overall, it was a smooth process, and so far we are satisfied with the installation and our system. Will update after a year!

The installation that Elemental Energy did for us was great. They timeline flew by, starting with a site visit and a drone flying over our home gathering data. When the installation day came, the team installed 18 panels and all the associated equipment in less than a full day. The app they use lets you monitor your system from your phone, and we're now enjoying a fully solar powered home (measured on an annual basis of course). I would add that the customer service team has been great, just with answering random questions that came up, even though we haven't had any problems.

Everyone I interacted with during our solar project was personable and delivered the highest quality of service. Allie, our solar consultant, patiently walked through the exploration phase, answering countless questions. Daniel, our account manager, was very responsive as we walked through all the steps of the planning, inspections, permitting, and scheduling process. Special shout-out to the electrician who oversaw the installation. The city inspector commented multiple times on how expertly executed our installation was. Elemental Energy is a five-star business in every way. Everything about them, from the informative initial visit, to the thorough site survey, to the careful installation, to the courteous and professional crew, are all completely first-class. We highly recommend their work. They installed a solar system for us in November 2021. We want to wait a full year to make sure there are no problems before writing a review. Our goal is to maximize energy production. Ruthie the Elemental salesperson understands the difference between big modules and a big system. A competitor's quote proposes using 440W modules from LG. Those modules are physically large (1.9 square meters). However we have roof vents and dormers that they have to work around, so large modules don't actually cover the roof that well, leaving large gaps. By using 370W modules (1.8 square meters) from Solaria, Elemental's proposal is able to cover more of the roof with modules. Their design results in a higher output system than the competitor's, 10 vs 8.8 kW DC. Our installation requires some additional, non-solar electrical work. Besides installing modules on the house roof as well as the standalone garage roof, we also want a new 50A circuit into the kitchen to electrify our gas range, and a new high-power circuit to the garage for a future EV charger. Bryce the Elemental electrician takes the time during the site survey to determine the best options for running all this new wiring. His solution runs conduit around the back of the house, through a basement workshop into the kitchen, so no interior finish is impacted. It also reuses an existing conduit going under the driveway to the garage so that no concrete work is needed. Elemental's installation crew was very professional, courteous and efficient. Jeff and his rooftop crew were always punctual. We have had no roof leaks or any other complaints after a whole season. Bryce, Will and Cory did a very tidy job with the wiring. The conduits in particular were greatly admired by other electricians who later saw it. Elemental's proposal uses micro inverters from Enphase. Their competitor specifies a string inverter. Our garage roof is partially shaded in the mornings. Micro inverters are better at maximizing production when the modules don't get uniform sun exposure. Elemental also includes the Enlighten data reporting and monitoring apparatus in their proposal. To be honest, we thought it was a little gimmicky when we first saw it. But since then we have totally geeked out on solar data! "Look, it's another 60 kWh day!" :-) Enlighten has the ability to monitor consumption as well as production. This is very useful to us, because we electrified most gas appliances at the same time, and if we just relied on PGE's net metering alone, we would have had no visibility into the energy usage of our new appliances. Elemental's system greatly exceeds our expectations. For the trailing 12 months, the system produced over 11 MWh. Even with increased consumption from a new heat pump and induction range, we are still net exporters of 2.6 MWh for the year! --

Loved working with Aaron Bredl and the qualified electricians and technicians at Elemental Energy. They dealt with any challenges that arose with clarity and honesty, and set up a system that dramatically reduced our electric bill. Great people to work with, and they helped me find financing through Puget Sound Community Credit Union. This is the second time working with the company - can't recommend them enough!

Great customer service. The sales rep that helped me from start to finish is Spencer Hutchinson. I explained to him my situation, and he gave me a quote. I wasn't ready at the time, and waited about a year. Some of the other companies were pretty aggressive. Spencer seemed more interested in serving me as a customer, then getting a sale. When the Tesla Powerwall 3 came out about 6 months later, Spencer sent me an email. 3 months after the email, the electric company raised our rates about 20%, so I went with a solar and battery backup system. Spencer was helpful and available every step of the way; I feel he went above and beyond his job description. He even saved me an extra $5,000 after signing the contract, when a new incentive was released. Elemental Energy send a revised contract to me the same day. Spencer and Elemental Energy are local, and are available to answer questions and follow up to make sure your system is running optimally. He reached out at the beginning of winter and reminded me to change my battery backup settings, so that I'd be prepared in case of an outage (which hapoen more frequently in the winter here in Estacada.) Give them a chance to earn your business.

Wow. Hands down, Elemental Energy is the best solar installer I have encountered in the Portland area. I work in the solar industry, and I am sure that I am more picky than most when it comes to my PV arrays. The Elemental Energy team was great through the whole process. No slick salespeople trying to sell you garbage or a system that will not work - Elemental Energy is my go to installer. I have helped half a dozen friends and neighbors to date also use Elemental for their home PV arrays.

We had Elemental install a 37 panel system on our house in July 2020 and worked with Josh Little. We've been very happy with the system -- energy production estimates pre-installation have been right on our 3 year average and the system has been completely trouble free. Elemental did a great job on the installation; the electrical inspector commented on it and noted that he liked doing inspections of their work since there was never anything to worry about.

I performed an extensive review of Oregon Energy Trust listed solar system firms before deciding on who to give my installation contract to. Elemental Energy and Spencer Hutchinson were a clear winner. Their onsite analysis and technical calculations were impressive. The estimated power production and energy cost savings were spot on. The installation process and follow up service was great. And the first year production from the system exceeded projections. I recommend Elemental Energy for anyone’s solar power system.
