The food was incredible! We will be making this our regular spot! Our server Monarch was the best. He knew the. Menu so we'll. And was very attentive. It's been a long time since I've had great service like that in Jacksonville. Thank you for great food and day.
The thing is.. that we went one hour before their closing, probably that was a bad call. But in general, we never got a table, we had to sit in one, which was dirty, and we ordered Wine, since it says "European" we expected a good wine, we asked for a recommendation and we had.. apple juice 😆 or it was a very cheap wine or a very expensive apple juice.. we didn't end up ordering food because our server was definitely not happy with us getting there one hour, 60 minutes...before their closing, we payed the apple juice wine and we left to Taverna. 😅 I might go back to try their desserts, that looks gooooooood.
An often overlooked and great local gem. Had something next door and had time to kill, so I stopped for a beer. Great drafts and bogo, so I lucked out.

I was so upset to learn the best, and nearly only, vegan/gf option on the menu was discontinued. There is no substitute despite them saying the reason was their supplier no longer was making the gf bread. I hope this is resolved and replaced with a new gf/vegan sandwich option. If not, ES has been dropped as an option of places to go eat. I ended up with a hummus plate with sliced sandwich tomatoes and red onion. The seed crackers were good, but no thank you. I would love to see this resolved as this has been one of my go to staple restaurants in jacksonville for the last 5 years.
Normally have fantastic beer and cheese soup but whoever made it watered it down and tasted like cheap chicken soup. Sandwiches were great. Very pricey now But will go back. The staff was great and very friendly.
Great vegan and vegetarian options, quirky and fun atmosphere, TONS of deserts and sweets available, and right in the middle of San Marco! Service was fast even during lunch rush. Pictured is the falafel ball pita (delicious).
I stopped by European Street Cafe after an appointment and love how nice the staff are. They greet you once you come in and our server, Marla, was very sweet and attentive. There is also an interesting selection of sweets and chocolate. When craving sandwiches, this is one of the places I like to go to.
What a big menu! If you're tired of the packed breakfast/ lunch places at 10/11am try out ESC. You'll never make it through the menu... Never! The dessert counter is a beast, the beer wall a whole other beast!
